"Mom!" I screamed. "Buliya means fire!"
But I probably didn't need to translate. The place was choking full of smoke. I couldn't see. Luckily, I had a loud voice."Hyo-jin! Mom! Ajumma!" I yelled."I'm here!" I heard Hyo-jin's voice. Then I saw a tiny figure walking towards me. "Ah, Jin, you're safe. Where are Ajumma and my mother?""Right behind," I heard voices from behind Hyo-jin. We had to hurry. The airport personnel can take care of all this mess. I was too exited to catch my flight.
Just when we were about to leave, I heard gun shots."One more move, and you'll be barbeque for the next thanksgiving."
Really bad metaphorical phrase, I thought as I turned. The sight made my jaw drop. What stood before me was a steroid pumped giant, clean shaved, bald, and was holding a piston. The piston looked like a toy gun in his hands. My mom took lead. "Pick someone you're size." My mom said. The guy raised his piston and pointed right at me, and almost fired, when something really amazing happened. Jin's mom moved forward, did a very difficult maneuver, and suddenly, the guy was disarmed, with Jin's mom holding the piston, straight at the snipers forehead."Still think we'll be barbecue?" Jin's mom sneered.
"Oh, I don't need a piston to take on you girls."I thought of giving him an insulting comeback, but someone buzzed him from behind. Too bad he wasn't conscious to hear.
We kept jogging towards the boarding gate. But suddenly I remembered something. "Which flight?" I asked Jin.
"Ethihad, flight to India."Wow. We were boarding the same flight. This was too good to be coincidental. But I had no time to analyze facts. I was running to save all the fat in my body from getting roasted. I dashed through the boarding gate.
Surprisingly, the airport official never asked us for the tickets. We walked down the bridge, and then I caught glimpse of a very attractive looking air hostess. But when we were faced with her, she didn't ask for our tickets. She greeted us with a warm smile, and simply asked for a confirmation. My mother just pulled down her collar and showed her tattoo. Hyo-jin's mom did the same. The hostess brought some kind of scanning machine, and scanned the tattoo. The machine beeped and shone green, and my mother was given a few instructions in gibberish, and then my mom led me right into paradise.
Wow. I've never traveled in business class before. Correction. I've never traveled on an airplane after my trip when I was 4 years old.. I sat down comfortably on the seat.I kept fiddling with all the buttons, kept ordering coco stuff, coz they say it's all free if you travel in business class.
A few hours later, I began feeling bored. So I walked up to Jin to see if she would just hang out. Well, the flight was really huge, and the travel would take about 27 hours, so I just thought hanging around and exploring will be a good idea Seems that she couldn't sleep a wink, which is usually what she does when she's bored.
So we decided to do what we do best-explore and go around. We went up to the compartments before ours, and found nothing interesting. But as we were arguing with ourselves about returning, we found a door.
Strange. We had only crossed about two compartments, and then we reach the end? Man the flight was huge from outside. "What are you staring at the door for?" Jin said impatiently. "Just trying to figure out what's behind it."I mumbled, loud enough for her to hear. "Well, the door's not gonna talk, so let's just get in." Typical Jin. So I tried the door. It was unlocked. So we barged in, trying to give a dramatic entrance. I was expecting some kind of storage room or something with random stuff.
I was up for a total surprise. I thought we hadteleported to a completely different place.
