Chapter 10 Start:


"I talked to your mother," Asami informed you, "if you want to know."

You stared at Asami in surprise and also waiting for him to continue.

"Did you tell her?" you asked Asami when he didn't say anything more than that.

"Of course." Asami examined your face that is now turning white from nervousness.

Asami reached for your chin and stared at your eyes "Worry not; I did not do anything that would leave a negative impact for the both of us." He waited until his words sink into your head

"After all, she is something that will come useful in the future, she is your mother after all."

"What's that supposed to mean!?" you slapped his hand away and glared.

"What I meant is that your mother approved." He said.

"You told her?" you seethed.

"That you are pregnant, yes." Asami said, "Keeping this a secret from her is a big hindrance for the both of us, she needs to know."

"I could've told her that myself!"

"Yes, you could've." Asami nodded, "but the outcome might not be as good as this one."

"And you think this is okay for her?"

"Yes. I guarantee you that she have accepted everything."

"I don't trust you." You told him, "For all I know, she might've thrown the laptop and the phone to your direction that is why you were able to get it from my house."

"I know how to deal with difficult people like your mother," he said, "I know what are the right words that could put them in ease and especially in your situation."

"You talk like a pro. How many times have you done this?"

"Does that matter? What is important is that we got her approval. And with that you can go and visit your family. Or would you rather stay here?"

"My work." You said instead, "How about my work?"

"About your work, I have talked to the principal and told them that you are ill."

"You haven't told them anything yet?"

"No." Asami said, "I will leave that matter to you."

"Then can I go back to work?" you tried only to receive a glare from him.

"The last time I check, your work place won't allow you to return to work once they find out you are with a child." Asami reminded you "Are you planning to keep your condition from your colleagues? Are you going to risk the life of the child inside you?"

"It's not like that! Who said about risking the life of this child? I'm a teacher, you expect me to quit my work?!"

"Then what do you suggest?"

"I-I can keep it a secret from them for a while, after all...it's almost the end of the term if—"

"I will not allow that." Asami interrupted. "If you are going to keep the child a secret, then it's better if you stay indoors. Don't worry about your work, I will handle it."

"Isn't it up to me!?" you called after him, "You handled the matter with my mother and while I am not okay with that, I am thankful for what you did—but when it comes to my work, let me at least do this by myself. I cannot just tell them that I am pregnant! You know it yourself!"

"There are two choices, (name)." Asami said, "One, you file a resignation within a month—I can at least give them time to look for a replacement for your position or two, you inform them that you'll get married in two months' time—then you get to keep your job."

Your eyes widened from his announcement.

"I will not marry you!" you glared at him.

"Your pick." Asami replied with a small smirk on his face. "I will give you time to think about it carefully."

Asami turned and made his way towards the stairs.

"You bastard! I will not marry you! I will not bend to your will! EVER!" you shouted in rage.

Being pregnant is something you can handle, but getting married is a different matter. Being with Asami is already a threat, what more a marriage. And besides, wasn't he married to the mother of Aki?

You stared at the boy who is working on his homework in front of you.

The boy is unexpectedly something different from Asami—big time. The boy is a sweetheart while his father is a mean strict bastard, how about his mother? Sayaka-san?

"Look! Look! I answered thee forth question all by myself!" the boy announced excitedly.

"Good job, Aki-kun." You smiled and patted his head, "Can I check?"

"Yes please." He grinned at you and jumped down his chair to walk around the table to give you his book.

You quietly checked his work and smiled. All perfect.

While your thoughts wondered towards a different matter, you keep talking to the boy animatedly which made him comfortable with you in just a short time. Also, because of him, your stay in Asami's house became something bearable.

"I see you're having good time with Akihito." A voice interrupted the comforting calmness of the library you are in. You didn't have to turn to see who is standing there at the door, you already know who it was who doesn't knock...

"Father!" Akihito beamed and jumped to the direction of the man "You're home early."

"Yes. I was here quite early, but I had to finish some calls with Kirishima. How are you doing with your tutor?" he asked, as if he was really concern about the boy's progress.

"He's quite nice. Nicer than my previous sensei." He answered, "(Name)-san is helping me check my work too!"

"Great. Are you done with your homework?" he asked and you straightened up before closing the book you are holding.

"Yes."

"Great. Then it's time for you to go to your bed."

"Okay." The boy turned to you, "Thank you (name)-san for helping me. See you tomorrow." He smiled and picked the book from your hand and returned to his bedroom leaving you with the man you silently loathed.

"Then I'll be returning to my room as well." You announced as you stood from your comfortable place in the sofa.

"Wait (Name)." Asami called after you and you could only stop in your tracks and listen to him.

"What is it?"

"I heard from Miko-san that you are going to your workplace in the morning."

"Yes. Do I need to get permission?" you asked.

"No. But I expect that you have chosen the right decision."

"If it's the right or not, it's not for you to decide." You said quietly but enough for him to hear. "Just because you are the father of my child doesn't mean you have all the rights to control my life."

"I will let you do as you wish for now; eventually, you will realize that what I do is the best for you and the baby."

"You mean for yourself." You corrected.

"Go to bed, (name)." He just suddenly said, "You need a plenty of rest."

"I intend to." You snapped before walking out of Asami's sight.

'Stupid man! How dare he tell me to go to bed?! What am I? A damned kid!?' you rumbled in your head as you made your way to your bedroom.

When you woke up the next day, you felt well rested. You didn't have to worry about your mother knowing what has happened as Asami already informed her. And while you hated him for doing that, you are also quite relieved that he did.

You went to the kitchen later than you have planned to avoid seeing Asami, but when you got there you found him sitting on the adjacent chair drinking his morning coffee and reading a newspaper—you frowned.

"Good Morning, (name)-san." You immediately wiped out the frown on your face when you heard the familiar voice of the young boy sitting to Asami's right and smiled.

"Ohayo, Aki-kun."

"Are you going to your school today?" the boy asked but before you could answer him you glanced at Asami who is still casually drinking his coffee like he didn't hear anything at all.

"Yes. I've been away for a long time." You answered quietly.

"Wow, I wish I can go to your school as well." Aki said.

"Of course you can, you can enroll there so we can see each other every day." You smiled at the idea.

Oh, yeah... now that you mentioned it, since your mother is already aware of your situation you can go back to work and go straight to your mother's house like you normally do.

'It's about time I leave this damned place'

"Next semester, you can transfer to (Name)'s school." Asami said without looking at the two of you, "But she will not be around to teach by that time, remember she will be taking care of the baby."

You swallowed at looked over his direction again.

"Oh! Yeah! I'll have my baby sister by that time right?" the boy excitedly looked at you and jumped off his chair before approaching you to touch your still small tummy.

"It's a sister right?" he asked you with excitement and you could only smile at him nervously, "I can't wait to meet her—I'll play with her all the time!"

"Y-yes, of course." You nervously answered.

"It could be a boy, Akihito." Asami said before folding down his newspaper and looking up at your direction "You'll be a big brother and you will teach him what you have learned so he will not have hard time."

Asami watched as your expressions changed from nervousness to a quiet contemplation of the sudden idea of what the gender of your child will be.

"Do you prefer a boy or a girl, (Name)?" Asami asked and you looked at him and almost stuttered in your response

"I-I don't really mind the gender—as long as the child is healthy, anything is fine." Was your answer.

"Me too."

Asami stood up and walked closer to you before leaning down to brush the few strands of hair that was on the way; he then whispered to your ears

"I prefer a boy though," he said, his whispers made your face turn red "So he can also watch over you when I am not around."

"W-what's that supposed to mean!?" you snapped at him and Asami could only laugh at your expression.

"Father, does (name)-san needs to be watched over as well?" Aki asked looking up at Asami in curiosity.

Asami then lifted up the boy to his arms and said, "Are you done eating your food, Akihito?"

Aki looked at his plate and answered, "Not yet."

"Then go finish your food." Asami instructed and the boy nodded before jumping down and returned back to his chair to finish his breakfast.

"As for you," Asami then turned back to your direction and you looked up at him to listen to what he will be saying "I can see that you are really going to your working place today"

"Of course, I told you already last night..."

"Don't push yourself too hard, remember that your body isn't just yours anymore." You glared at Asami.

"I know that!" you snapped at him, "Just because I'm carrying a child doesn't mean I cannot take care of myself anymore!"

"Of course, but you still need to be constantly reminded." Asami said, "Eat and finish your breakfast." He instructed as he grabbed your arm gently to make you sit on the chair in front is a plate full of sandwich, salad, fruits and next are set of heavy meal with rice.

"Suoh will drive you to school and pick you up once your working hours is done." Asami informed you.

"I don't need to be picked up. I can go home on my own."

"Do you plan to take the train back here?" Asami asked but you didn't answer him immediately, and when you didn't hear any follow up question from Asami, you dejectedly responded

"No." you admitted, "I will be going back to my house."

"That is unnecessary." Asami said, "A car will bring you back and forth to school."

"No. I refuse to be delivered to your lair every single day! I've been here for quite a while now so why can't I still go home?!"

"We talked about this before. It's up to you if you will follow that or I will make sure that you will not be able to take a step out of this house."

Hearing his threat you closed your fist tightly as you try your best not to punch the beautiful face of the man across you—lucky him, his child is still around the kitchen to drink his milk, if not you will surely cause a war right there and then.

"I fucking hate you."

"You said the same thing the other night, but that is not what your body is telling me." His comment made you blush when you remembered what exactly he was saying.

"Gods I really hate you!" you stood up and walked out of the kitchen leaving the man who seems to be enjoying all of this.

Author's note:

Sorry, I still can't get it on with the actions. But I hope I'll be able to put in the action on the next chapter. Additional characters will show up and there will play a big part.

Another thing is that Asami prefers to take you as his wife—which you didn't like.
Well, I know where you are coming from; he is after all married to the mother of Aki, so why would he still want to marry you? Are they divorced already?
Don't other family still manage to make it work even though their parents are not married and even not living together?

Let's see what will happen next chapter shall we?
