"Class dismissed"

The adult's voice marks the end of the school day. Every student started to rush out with their bags unzipped. Jisung carefully placed his things in his bag while looking at her. He was confused as Beomji did not move at all and was just staring at the window next to her. He found her interesting. He was very sure that she did not smile in class at all. He did, however, enjoy the short eye-contact they had during History period. That made him more determined to find out where he actually saw her before.

Suddenly, BeomJi stood up, bringing only her phone along. Jisung's eyes trailed towards her, witnessing her eyes that showed worry.  He could feel the cold wind when she just ran past him. It became more familiar to him, but he was still unsure. Clueless, he just stood there.

Beomji, on the other hand, went to the main hall to look at the chart again. Random characters flowed through her mind.

"Huang? Hwang? Hwan?" shaking her head consistently.

"Hyun... Hyunbin?"

Her eyes widened as her fingers started to shake vigorously. Scanning through the charts, there was a Huan Hyunbin and a Hwang Hyunjin. Beomji went to search for their classrooms. She was desperate. If the boy she should not have dragged along told on her, she would be dead.

She stopped her tracks when she saw the familiar figure in front of her, dragging his feet out of the principal's office. The two looked at each other's eyes. She was afraid to approach him. She was terrified.

"Hwang Hyun-

Out of nowhere, a flying Chan placed his arm over Beomji's shoulder and turned her around.

"What are you doing here? Your classroom is downstairs." He asked while smiling with crescent eyes.

"Oh... uhm- I was waiting for you" she lied.

Chan was looking so confused but couldn't help but to laugh a bit. After so, he received a phone call and he was rolling his eyes. With a disappointed face, Chan told her that he had to meet up with his friends. Slightly glad, Beomji bid goodbye to him and spun her head slowly. The boy was walking off.

Immediately, she rushed to him and managed to tug on his shirt, making him look back.

"What do you want?" he sneered with a furrowed eyebrows.

"Can we talk? Maybe... somewhere quieter?" She softly spoke, hesitating every word.

After a split second, the boy started to walk off and Beomji who wasn't thinking just trailed behind him. Walking up a few more stairs until they reached the rooftop. After he let out a heavy sigh, he shut the door close, causing a loud sound to be created. That was not the only thing that made Beomji flinch. The boy also took his bag from his shoulders and threw it to the ground, like it was being punished.

Her mouth was shut. She could only listen to his lecturing and shoutings at her. His words that had broken her and laid an impact on her, leaving a deep scar in her heart.

"Why did you drag me along? Is your head working? What is wrong with you!" The boy reprimanded an answer from her.

Slightly choking, she splurts out everything.

"So that I could save you! If you didn't run away, they could have tortured you, he could have hurt, and... and I don't want you to get hur-

"Should I call the police? Should I tell your parents about their daugh-

"Never!" Tears formed in her eyes. Her wobbling legs that could not support her for any longer.

"You can't tell anybody. Let this just be a secret between. I-I- I don't want to go to prison. I don't want to be behind bars."

Darkness began to overcome her like a thick blanket. Her mind that was uncontrollably unstable made her let out her deepest secret. She told everything. The truth, her identity, without knowing what she was doing.

"I stole food from people, I cheated during examinations, I lied to everyone, I pretended to be innocent, I robbed a house and I murdered a person! What am I supposed to do? I'm broken, I have nothing and no one by my side. Even people are against me. I don't want to go to prison. I just don't want t-

"I don't care! Stop telling me stories that will make me pity you because I won't!  I won't help a criminal. I hate people who are cowards, afraid to admit to their own mistakes. I'm telling the authorities. I don't wish to see you around anymore. Be prepared to be dying in a cell throughout your whole youth," his voice echoed louder than the wind, leaving her behind, with tears and hair on her face.

She could only think of a name at that moment.

"Hwang Hyunjin"

A lame chapter here! Sorry, I've tried to make those emotional and dramatic but turns out, the only one crying is my eyes. Just in case you are confused, the boy that Beomji dragged along as Hyunjin. As for Jisung, he happened to find her very familiar. Sorry if the story is very messy. I promise that the next chapter will be better 😟😢😓 ~ Eunkyungie
