"Crap, I'm late" the girl muttered under her breath.
Beomji (범지) looked around the convenience store, trying hard not to seem suspicious. When the guy behind the counter was not looking, she immediately snuck a few products into a black bag. Her quick hands slightly slipped, almost making a careless mistake that could end her life. Making sure that the hood of her hoodie secured onto her head, she exited the place in a rush.
Running as fast as lightning, she ran to the location that was as promised. With her legs going numb gradually and having a threatening pain in her abdomen, tears started to form. She would have been beaten up right now. She would have been spending her whole eternity in prison.
She stopped her tracks hastily in front of the small building. At least six large men were standing against the gate. Her eyes widened when the men started to turn their bodies to her. One man with the really buffy and large build started to approach her.
"Well, what is this? Ja Beomji? More like Beomjoeja ( 범죄자/Criminal in Korean)," the man started chuckling.
She hesitantly changed the direction of my feet slightly. The kind of smaller man with long hair started to tap his feet on the hard ground impatiently giving her anxiety.
"You're late. Now, the money," he smirked widely while staring through her.
She wanted to vaporize at that moment. She didn't have the money yet. She slowly placed her fingers in my pocket reaching out for the knife.
"Why? Don't you have the money? Are you kidding m-
As quick as possible, she threw the knife forcefully at his face. She put all her weight on her feet and ran far away. She was on hot wheels as they were chasing her. She kept turning her head behind to see them getting closer and closer to her. The streets were indeed getting darker and even more narrow, giving her a bad vibe. Something bad was going to happen.
Sweat kept dripping down her face and her uniform was wet and sticky. The hoodie was not helpful either. She was so tired but she had to run for her life. She regretted what she did. Why did I threw the weapon at him and was I even in my right mind that I actually ran from him?
She reached an alley and pushed the garbage can to block their paths and went even further, hoping for an escape. The walls kept coming closer and closer to her body. It was suffocating especially with the smell of sweat and blood lingering in the air. She could not see anything. It was pure darkness.
It felt like the end. She thought that it would be a closed alley but lucky her. There was just a large gate blocking her escape route. It was locked and the only thing she could do was to climb over it. The sounds of footsteps getting louder made her panicked and place her foot onto the thin railings. The scars on her hands were penetrated deeply into the wires. She hurried my way upwards and landed onto the ground painfully. She continued her tracks despite being in extreme pain.
She could hear shoutings and profanities piercing into my ears as the men behind her struggled to go past the gate. She looked around to only realised that she was already in a middle of a crowd. Sighing in relief, she threw my hoodie on the ground and took off her hair tie. She began to walk casually but at a fast pace. She turned her head slightly to her left only to catch the men over the gate trying to search for her in the crowd. She remembered this place. It was the short-cut to school. She wanted to go to a safer compound and hence dashed there to her school, only to realised that it was the worst decision I ever made.

I apologize for the very long chapter as an introduction. I feel really bad for not adding the characters in yet but I guess it helps the story to be more understandable.
P.S.: Regarding the female character's name, it's 자범지 or Ja BeomJi. Since I recently got into wordplay, her name sounds like 범죄자 or Beomjoeja or Beomjwaeja which means criminal.
