The boy debated between piercing or blunt damage. The former was more lethal and serious, and was bad for practicing with someone of similar strength. Also, failing to penetrate when the attack was finished put a large strain on the spear.

On the other hand, blunt attacks had their weaknesses too. They could transmit force through armor or protection much more easily, but much more force was required to make an equally lethal blow. Also, they were less suited to the purpose of the spear, which was to pierce.

(Or make a shishkebab. It all depends if you're hungry or not.)

Weighing everything together, Du Keishi thought he wouldn't focus much on either, but he would learn blunt attacks first. This was because Du Keishi was not a murderous person nor a sadist, and much preferred just to intimidate someone to do something than kill them or cause pain. That being said, he would still kill if necessary, but would rather not. Thus, blunt attacks.

Of course, he would still learn piercing attack types for those times he really had no other choice, but hopefully, the attacks he would be using the most of were blunt ones.

The first attack technique Du Keishi learned was the Wind Dragon Overturns The Heavens technique. It was extremely powerful and covered a wide area, making it more difficult to dodge.

The technique generated its awesome force like a fist would. It was a simple technique, but that didn't necessarily mean that it wasn't powerful. When using it, one would maneuver their spear like a staff, turning it in a motion akin to a wheel. The hand on the bottom would become the primary one creating the power, and the technique used Wind Qi to not only augment its power, but to also create an incredible explosive force with the attack.

Needless to say, while the technique was easy to learn, it was still very powerful and could knock out a severely supercharged dummy with one strike. Due to the simplicity of the technique, Du Keishi took three days to learn the technique to the Success stage, when he then selected his next attack.

Flaming Typhoon Blast. Due to the Affinity of the technique, one wouldn't think that the technique name was very apt. However, it was quite fitting. The Garu grade technique could tremble the very heavens at its strongest. Du Keishi almost wasn't worthy of it. The technique used a near solid air to create friction and use fire to augment the attack. At the same time, the attack was like a tornado.

When using this technique, one would simply use the spear as a tool to channel the attack through. One's Qi would serve as the primary source of the power of the technique. Du Keishi took a whole three weeks to learn this to the Success stage. The only reason it was so short was because it was actually relatively simple in the beginning stages, but got much harder later. It nonetheless was extremely powerful, and would be Du Keishi's trump card in the future. Du Keishi then learned a piercing attack, Spiral Gale Thrust. It was a vigorous piercing attack, and was a double edged sword. See, using any piercing attack was a risk, because if it failed, then the weapon it was used with was damaged.

This technique was especially subject to this risk. This was because of the great power contained within it. Thankfully, to decrease the risk chance, the technique used a clever way to apply force. It used Wind Qi to create a rapidly rotating spiral, which would greatly enhance the penetration chance of this attack.

If not for this boon, Du Keishi wouldn't even consider learning this martial art. As it was, the technique was of about average difficulty when compared to the consumption of martial arts that had similar attack powers. (The attack power was extraordinary, by the way.)It took Du Keishi about a week to learn the technique. After learning all these battle techniques, Du Keishi would have another go at the 1 vs. 100 fight.
