Night went with a new start to day, and Thomas absolutely hated it. It was a Monday, his most disliked day. Mondays were a start to a new week. A week he would have to spend in his personal hell: Junabell high.Junabell is a private school filled to the brim with the rich or the smart.Their yearly exam is the most difficult hurdle anybody will have to get through if they want to either enter the school or continue going there. Usually only the extremely smart get in. Or if you have a lot of power or money then the headmaster will always make an exception. If you don't pass the exam you immediately get expelled and are never allowed to enter their school again.
With a sigh Thomas sat up and headed to his closet were his uniform resided. He continued to do his morning routine before making his way to the door that lead to his impending doom. When he grabbed the cold handle of the door he was stopped by someone pulling on the back of his vest. Glancing at the person who stopped him from the corner of his eye, he let a small smile show at the sight of his mother.
"Have a good day at school and please.......don't get into trouble again. I don't want to be pulled out of work again."
Thomas gave another nod and turned back to the door. He waited for his mother to let go of his vest and when she did he walked out. He walked down the driveway and turned to the right. As he was following the path to his school, he looked down at the concrete of the sidewalk and tried to avoid all the cracks embedded into it.
Looking back up after awhile of walking he spotted his school right on top of Disciple Hill. Sooner or later he made it to the gate that surrounded the school's land. Thomas stood at the gate and stared up at the large building before him.
'It practically screams "welcome back to the end" ' Thomas thought and reluctantly, he stepped onto the premises .
"I just want to get this over with already."
He made his way into the school and quickly made his way to his locker. When there he put in the correct combination and grabbed his math textbook. A loud thump next to his locker door made Thomas jump in surprise and slam his locker door shut.
He turned to where the noise came from and narrowed his eyes at the person he despises the most.
Jake Gamble, the cliche bully.
Thomas turned around, ignoring Jake, and made his way to his first class. Jake growled and chased after Thomas. Jake grabbed the back of Thomas's vest and pulled him back. Thomas dropped his textbook and huffed at the momentum of which he was pulled back.
"Don't think you can just walk away from me runt."
The halls went completely silent as all eyes were pulled in their direction, waiting in anticipation on what would happen next. The clicking of heels against marble flooring intercepted everyone's ears. The sound sent shivers down everyone's' spines and most of the people who were left in the hallway ran to their classes.
"Shit!" Jake spat and tossed Thomas onto the floor. The sound got closer until it stopped right behind Thomas.
