“Girls.” Ryan is back. “Time for the evening prayers. Kelsey would you like to explain them to Kelly.”

“Kelly, the evening prayers are where we all sit in a circle and say what we are thankful for. We say this prayer then.” She hands me a slip of paper. “Then we sing this song.” She flips the piece of paper over. Theres a song. “Then we finish the evening with telling Jason and the Lord that we love them.” Great, I hate this whole thing. I hate it all. Instead of a hell hole its a heaven hole. And who is Jason?

“Would you like to start today Zoë?”

“Sure Ryan. Lets begin. I am thankful for the Lord loving and forgiving me. What are you thankful for Kelsey?”

“I am thankful for the food we eat, and the sun coming up everyday. What are you thankful for Ryan?”

“I am thankful for all you girls. What are you thankful for Kelly?”

“I am thankful for being alive.” I would be a little more thankful if I could go home.

“Kelsey would you like to start the prayer. Not to fast Kelly has to learn.” Oh, I have to learn even though I don’t want to. All I want to do is go home. All at once we start to talk.

“As I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. Angles watch me through the night, and wake me with the morning light. God bless us all in Jesus’s name Amen.” Wasn’t that fun. I wish I could just die. I wish the angles wouldn’t wake me with the morning light. All the sudden we start talking.

“We love the Lord and Jason.” Then he is gone. I want to stay awake, but my eyes are getting so heavy. I think I might just rest them.
