The sun comes in really bright from the basement. I was hoping it was all a dream, it wasn’t. I look to my left, Kelsey and Zoë look so much more thin. Ryan didn’t come back down stairs last night, I don’t think he did at least. “ Rise and shine Kelly.” I look over its Kelsey.
“Yep, morning.” I never knew how bad reality was, until Kelsey started to speak.
“Zoë, are you up?” Kelsey asks her like, she wouldn’t be awake.
“No Kelsey, I am training to die. I have been awake since the the sun reached the grounds out there. Good day for a walk.”
“Wait what? You guys can go for walks? What if Ryan thinks that you are trying to escape?”
“We walk with him. Never alone.” Oh, now I understand.
“Think we should have Kelly ask Ryan if we can go for a walk since he has a thing for her?” A thing for me, great just what I need.
“Yeah we should. He will probably say yes if she asks.”
“What am I supposed to even say? That I want to get out of this basement, and go for a walk.”
“No, you tell Ryan that you are getting a headache from down here and that you need to clear your head and go for a walk. He will probably say yes.”
“Where is he? When do I ask?” I need to know these things.
“He should be down any time, what does your phone say?” Is she really asking me that?
“Um, it says eight thirty.”
“Oh good he should be down any minute.” I look over at Kelsey you hasn’t said anything in a while.
“Did he take your guy’s phones away?” I need to know.
“No he didn’t take mine, it just is charging up stairs. He charges it when they die. He didn’t take yours either Zoë, did he?”
“Nope.” As Zoë said that Ryan walks down stairs. He has a plate full of french toast and three full glasses of orange juice.
“Glad to see that you awake girls.”
“Ryan, sir, I have a question.” Here I go.
“Speak Kelly.”
“Well, after we finish our breakfast can we all go for a walk, because I feel very sick and light headed, and I need some fresh air.”
“I will think about it.” He hands Kelsey and Zoë their phones. We begin to eat.
