Selena Argent Sequel

Chapter 7

'Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep.' What the hell is that noise? "It's been months Allison, I don't know what to do." I heard the all too familiar voice of my mate. I felt warm and content with his presence.

I felt my body twitch when he went to grab my hand. I smiled when I felt the familiar sparks go up and down my arm.

"Selena!?! Open your eyes baby." I heard Theo say. I did what he said, I tried my hardest to open my eyes. They fluttered open then shut due to the bright light.

"Come on Selena open your eyes." I heard stiles say in the back ground. "Come on Raven, you are my best friend." I heard Damon mutter. "I would hope to think I am." I said softly to Damon and I opened my eyes. All though it took a bit for them to adjust. "God damn you Selena." I heard Theo say with a breathy laugh then he scooped me up into his arms. He nestled his head into the crook of my neck.

"Hey guys, what's up?" I asked as I noticed everyone was crowded around my hospital bed. The salvatores, Gilbert's and the pack. Including Allison. "Ya know, we were just hoping that you'd wake up and not die from a measly demon." Stiles muttered sarcastically. I snorted then smiled.

I wrapped my arms around Theo then gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I'm so sorry Selena." He croaked. "Theo it's fine, don't argue me on this one." I said as I tightened my grip on him. "I'm also extremely sorry Selena." I heard Allison say. I looked up at her, tears glistening in her eyes and I too felt tears fall from my eyes.

"Allison... It's not your fault. Don't you dare argue me also because I've forgiven you." I said to her. I held my hand out to her. She took it gingerly, afraid of hurting me.

Bonnie was the next one to break the silence. "The demon has been banished back to hell. The witch spirits decided to let Allison stay. Emily was mad at the witch spirits, although she is one, and sent Allison back out of spite." Bonnie finished. I nodded. "Thank you so much Bonnie." I said. I wanted to give her a hug but I couldn't due to Theo having me in a death grip. "Okay guys lets give Selena and Theo a bit of space." Stefan said, a smile gracing upon his face. I gave him a smile in return.

I had been holding in the emotions that Theo was feeling and I felt like an asshole if I didn't talk to him.

Soon everyone shuffled out of the room.

The door shut and in an instant, Theo's lips were on mine. Our lips moved and Moulder together like they had hundreds of times. My hands went to his neck and I tangled my fingers in his hair where as he had his arms around my waist, pulling me close.

I broke the kiss, tears streaming down my face as I hugged him close.

"Oh Theo." I sobbed. "I'm so sorry! It hurt you so much!" I cried. "Shhh Selena, your here now and that's all that matters." He whispered. The mate bond was causing his emotions to project on me and at the moment I felt sorrow and sadness. 

"Theo, what else is wrong?" I asked him. I could tell something other than the situation at hand was bothering him but he was blocking me from knowing what it is. "Is it something about our wedding? Did the decorations not show up?" I asked, panicking. The wedding must be close if I was in a coma for months. "No Selena... It's something much, much, worse." Theo whispered, his voice cracking. "What is it then?" I asked, coaxing it out of him.

"You were pregnant." He whispered and my heart broke.

I laid at home in my bed still sobbing. I hadn't talked to anyone apart from Theo or eaten anything.

It hurt so bad. And I didn't know how to make it stop.

*Flashback*

"No!" I shouted at Theo. His eyes were filled with tears.

I screamed. Out of pain and desperation.

"No! No! No! No!" I screamed over and over again.

Nurses and doctors came rushing in then backing out when they saw my frazzled state. I wouldn't stop shouting and crying.

I rocked myself back and forth, grabbing at my hair.

Soon my screams dimmed down then when I got completely worn out, I was silently crying into Theo's chest. He held me throughout the entire thing. Just holding me and letting me get everything out.

He knew how badly I was hurting because I'd always wanted a child but I couldn't until now. Then when the opportunity arose it was ripped out of my hands.

*flashback over*

More tears came cascading down my face.

Theo was allowed to bring me home after the doctors conducted a few tests after I'd calmed down.

"Babe... Elena came to visit and have a cup of tea with you." Theo said softly in my ear as his arms loosened around my waist, allowing me to get up. "No." I said as I wrapped my arms around myself. "Well you don't have a choice Raven, so get your ass up!" I heard Damon shout from the living room. I sighed in defeat then turned over and snugged into Theo, putting my arms around him.

"Selena, remember, we can have more children okay? I know this hurts so much but we must move on and live our life." He said then he pressed a kiss to my forehead. I smiled slightly then it dropped. " I better go see Elena." I said as I untangled myself from his hold. He nodded and gave me a broken smile to show me that he was hurting as much as I am myself.

I moped down the stairs then went into the living room.

I found just Elena in there with a thermos mug and two cups.

Elena saw me and she held up the thermos. "Tea, it's good for the soul." She said and graced me with a sad smile. I gave her a smile of my own.

We both sat down and Elena poured us both tea. "Where'd Damon go?" I asked. "He went and took Jenna out For ice cream." She said. I nodded.

"Selena I know what it's like to feel pain and how much it kills but it's what makes us human." She said. I just nodded, not knowing what she was aiming at. "But loosing a child? That is a pain that can't be competed with." She paused to take a sip of her tea.

"Do you want to be immortal again Selena?" Elena asked the all important question. I smiled at her, already knowing the answer.
