 ~Kristanna~

Anna and Kristoff were awakened from their slumber to the cries of Kelda. She still wasn't sleeping through the night. Anna got out of bed and went to check on the baby. She picked her up and cradled her in her arms. She wondered what she was crying about.

Kristoff sat up in bed, scratching his eyes as he slowly woke up. "Is she ok?" he asked.

Anna rocked Kelda back and forth in her arms trying to calm her down. "I don't know, maybe she's hungry?" Kelda still wasn't on a regular eating or sleeping schedule. She would just cry and Anna and Kristoff had to guess what was wrong.

Anna assumed she was hungry this time. She was just sleeping, so she couldn't be tired, and her diaper didn't smell, so she didn't need to be changed. Anna slipped her shoulders out her pajamas revealing her chest. Kelda was familiar with the routine and grabbed her mother's breast and began to drink its milk.

"I guess she was hungry," Kristoff joked.

Kelda finished her meal and was finally content. Anna kissed her on the forehead and placed her back in her crib. She tucked her in and made sure she was ok before crawling back into her bed, under the covers. Kristoff pulled her in close as they drifted back to sleep.

A few months passed and Kelda was finally following a regular schedule. She woke up everyday promptly at the same time as her parents, she grew hungry the same time the family had their meals, and she wasn't crying as much.

She even began learning to crawl and babble a few 'words'. Anna was in the kitchen spoon feeding Kelda who was in her highchair. "Open wide," she said with a smile, scooping some baby food into her mouth. Kelda clapped her hands as she swallowed.

Kristoff was out harvesting ice. Summer was coming, so the kingdom needed more ice to keep things cool. He was seated on his sled, being pulled by Sven, as they headed back home from a long days work.

He put the sled away and made sure Sven was ok in the stables. He entered through the front door and announced, "I'm home!"

"We're in the kitchen, sweetheart," Anna told him. She cleaned up Kelda's face with a handkerchief and took her out of the highchair.

Kristoff walked into the kitchen with his arms extended wide. "Daddy's home!" he cheered as he pulled his two favorite girls in for a hug.

Anna looked at Kelda who was in her arms, giggling with excitement. "Daddy's home, Kelda," she told her, hopping for a response. She just clapped her hands and said her usual incoherent babbles.

"Oh well," Kristoff sighed. They've been trying for some time now to get her to say her first word. They try and narrate everything they're doing so she'll start repeating words. But so far that hasn't been working.

Anna handed Kelda to Kristoff so she could get him his lunch. He sat down and put her in her lap as he played peek-a-boo with her.

Anna grabbed a dish from the cupboard and served Kristoff some soup. "So how was work today," she asked him, trying to start some light conversation.

"Pretty good," he responded. "We harvested plenty of ice today! It's peak season."

"That's good," she said, handing him his soup.

He shifted Kelda onto his other leg so he could eat with his dominant hand and still have her in his lap. "So how was she today?" he asked her, referring to Kelda.

"She was good, weren't we, Kelda!" she said in a singsong way, tickling Kelda's little tummy. Kelda giggled and clapped her hands.

She was really starting to get big. Her blonde hair grew longer. Anna would braid it, or put in into pig tails with a bunch of bows. The seamstress is constantly making new baby clothes to keep up with her. She was crawling around everywhere. She even began lifting herself up, with the help of the small table in the living room. Anna and Kristoff would pick her up on her feet to get her used to the feeling of standing, but she still isn't able to do it on her own yet.
