A Bitter or Better Day?

Seulgi's point of view

After a few days, I recovered and was discharged from the hospital. I stepped inside a room that was so familiar to me, a room where I met a brat girl but turned out to be a warm person. The same room I got comfortable for the past months. But there are things that must come to an end.

"Miss this place?" A sweet voice that I would love to hear every day echoed inside the room.

"Yup" I replied looking at Irene. She smiled warmly back to me.

"By the way, I will be using my day off tomorrow" I informed Irene.

"Hmm.. I guess it can be help. You need more rest" She replied but half-heartedly as if she doesn't want me to go anywhere without her. I secretly smiled at her cute reaction then she suddenly approached me and hugged me around the neck.

"Welcome back,. Kang Seulgi" she stated softly that it made me smile. She looked at me without breaking the hug. She stared at me intensely, those eyes makes me melt everytime she looks at me like that. She slowly licked and bit her lower lip as her eyes drops on my lips. I completely know what's going happen next. She pulled me around the neck to meet her lips with mine but then suddenly someone knocked on the door.

'Aish' Irene mouthed to herself and stopped on what she's going to do. The romantic atmosphere was turned to awkwardness. Irene fixed her clothes in awkwardness after breaking the hug from me. It made me chuckle seeing her like that. She was about to go open the door but I wasn't able to stop myself and held her hand to stop her and pulled her to turn to me, cupped her face and kissed her.

"Was that what you're trying to do?" I asked after breaking the kiss still cupping her face.

"N..nae. Aigoo! You always surprise me" Irene stuttered but then pinched me on the cheek as her face turned red in an instance. She quickly turned around to hide her face and opened the door. I just watched her being silly and before I know it, I'm smiling looking at her.

'Even if just a small difference, I would like to make it' a thought came into my mind.

"Sorry for disturbing. Ms. Kang, you have a phone call from the president (Irene's father)" the guard said. I automatically went out to take the call.

The next day

"You're really going to take a day off huh?" Irene pouted upon seeing me in casual clothes. I hummed in response and walked towards her and stopped in front of her. She looked at me puzzled.

"Miss Irene, can you go out with me?"

Irene's point of view

I almost forgot to breathe upon hearing what Seulgi said. I was really surprised and was caught off guard. Is this for real?

"That's if you're free" she added shyly while she lightly strokes her neck with her fingers, a sign that she was uncomfortable and was really shy. She was so cute that very moment.

"Sure" I smiled to this cute bear in front of me. She smiled happily to me upon hearing my answer. She was so different today. Her usual composed chic style was replaced by a girl with a bright smile.

I told Seulgi to wait for me outside to have time to prepare and she instantly obliged. After a few minutes of preparing, I went outside and saw Seulgi leaning on a car. It's not one of my father's car.

"Ooohh. Where did you get this?" I asked teasingly.

"At home" Seulgi said abruptly and opened the door for me to get in even before I could react on what she said.
