This was my response to...

A grocery store near your house is having a sale on breakfast cereals. The hobby store next door has run out of specialty dice, but has an overstock of scale replica airplanes. And while the parking lots trees are mature it appears the birds are avoiding them.

Please explain how all of hese events are related.

After an increase in the number of early rising clones was distributed throughout the local area, there was an increase in the number of breakfast cereals being sold. Therefore the oh-so-clever supermarket decided to have a not-so-great-value sale on said breakfast cereals, which in turn, actually cost more for the clone buyers. Now the clone cereal-buyers (and their sponsors) weren't happy with this, so they were programmed to take over the local craft store and turn in into a casino, to make more money. This explains the surplus of replica airplanes, no glue. Finally, due to the scaringly large amount of clones trampling over the soil around the trees in the parking lot, to buy the breakfast cereal (it is on sale after all), there was an unfortunate case of soil erosion and poison leaking into the ground near the roots of the trees from the bottom of the clones' boots. This, after being absorbed by the poor plant's roots, was secreted to various parts of the tree causing the deficiency in birds.
