Fate: Dual Journey

Lunch

Word had now spread across the campus of Cyphers arrival and placement, and the campus was buzzing with excitement. Wild rumors about him were running rampant, with some making him sound like a handsome knight in shining armor, while others made him to be some vile and evil pervert. By the time lunch came around, everyone wanted to meet the new "Alpha Male", a humorous nickname bestowed upon him due to his new "A" rank, and him being the only guy on campus.

Cypher was walking toward the cafeteria with his sister Solana when he suddenly stopped.

"What's wrong Cy?" Asked Solana.

"I just realized that this will be the first time I'll be in front of the whole student body." Gulped Cypher.

"Don't worry bro," she said as she made a red saber materialize. "I got your back."

Cypher sighed and gave his sister a smile. They were just outside the cafeteria doors when they stopped.

"Okay, here we go."

Cypher pushed open the doors, and was greeted by yet another technological marvel.

The cafeteria was an over the top, glorified super-buffet. Holographic displays showed the extensive menu the school offered, while hovering drones delivered food to tables.

And the Girls!

Cypher had never seen so many beautiful girls in his life, and such a variety as well. Cute girls, sexy girls, short girls, tall girls, skinny girls, busty girls, girls of all shapes and sizes and variations of cute!

He felt a tap on his shoulder.

"Watch out Cy, these girls are all very powerful Holders. They can pack a punch. Every single one of them."

"Duly noted sis."

Cypher suddenly noticed the silence. He looked back at the crowd of girls to see them all frozen, staring right at him.

Not a single one of them moved as they each stared at him. After what felt like forever, Cypher said,

"Uh... Hi?"

Somewhere from the back someone said, "It's him!" And that triggered all the other girls to squeal and fangirl and charge at Cypher.

He felt his sister grab him from his back and say, "Told ya I got your back."

She held on to him as she jumped up and away from the mob of fangirls onto the second floor of the cafeteria.

Down below he could hear the crowd yelling various things. "He's so cute!" "I can't believe it's an actual boy!" "He's so dreamy!" "Here's your twenty bucks." "I wanna have your babies!" "I bet he's, like, super powerful!" "What a hunk!"

Cypher sat down on the floor and sighed. Solana crouched down next to him and said,

"Luckily the second floor is reserved for A ranks only, which we both are. As long as we're up here, we should be safe."

"Not quite."

Cypher jumped up and turned around to face the voice.

There, sitting in a booth and giving him an icy glare, was a blonde girl. And sitting next to her was the ever bubbly Lala.

"Hey Cy!" Lala yelled with a big, cheery grin.

"Do nott associate with that Man, Lala." said the blonde.

"But he's my roommate, I have to associate with him. It's okay Asia, you don't have to be jealous!"

"I am not JEALOUS!"

"Uhm, hi. My name is Cypher. I guess you must be Lala girlfriend. Nice to meet you Asia." Said Cypher, as he reached out to shake her hand.

The blonde slammed her fists down on the table and stood up.

"MY NAME IS NOT ASIA, AND I AM NOT LALA'S GIRLFRIEND! MY NAME IS ANASTASIA!!"

"Uh... Sorry?"

Cypher was thoroughly confused by this girls odd behavior.

Solana spoke up.

"Come on Cy, let's leave this girl alone. She's the campus snob, and she likes to act like she's better than everyone."

"Well in that case, let's go."

"Where do you think you're going!? Do you think just because your a Man, you can just ignore me like that and walk away!?"

Cypher felt those words touch his heart. He felt as if those words caused Anastasia a great deal of pain, and that he had to do something about it. He didn't know why he felt it, but he didn't question his instinct. He turned back around.

"No, I don't think that."

"Yeah right! Let me prove to you just how weak you Men are! I, Anastasia Heathcliff, challenge you, Cypher Cif, to a duel!"

Well, there goes lunch...
