Chapter 1

(Y/N)'s POV:

It was just a normal day like any other. I am hanging out with my friends, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Namjoon, Jimin, Taehyung, and last but not least Jungkook. Yes, all of my close friends are guys, but it doesn't really bother me. I don't like dealing with all the drama that comes with having girlfriends. I only have one girlfriend. Her name is Haruna. We have been friends for a long time her and I grew up with these 7 dorks.

Sadly Haruna isn't with us right now since she was busy finishing up some important assignments for school. We all are in our senior year of high school, thank god. I never really enjoyed school all that much since I would get picked on every now and then, but I never let it bother me. What I hated the most were the hallways. Being the short girl that I am, it was always hard getting through the extremely crowded hallways.

"(Y/N), earth to (Y/N)!?" Jungkook yelled while waving his hand in front of my face.

I shook my head slightly before looking around, noticing all the boys had their eyes on me. Being the shy person I am, a light shade of pink appeared on my cheeks from all the attention I was getting.

"Awwww (Y/N) always gets so flustered it's adorable" Jin stated while a big smile appeared.

Jin was like the mom of the group since he always had to clean up after the other 6 and has to deal with them when they are whining and complaining about something. He and I are the only ones that really know how to cook, but he does most of the cooking since he doesn't want anyone messing up his precious kitchen.

"S-stop, you know I always get flustered when all of the attention is on me." I huffed out as I fixed my large gray hoodie.

"Anyways." Namjoon said while clearing his throat.

"We were wondering if-"

Namjoon was interrupted by this loud boom that echoed. The wind started blowing softly, but it didn't feel like those calm breezes, this was chilling and didn't feel calm.

"What the hell..?" Jimin asked softly while getting up and heading up the hill we were on a bit.

"Guys, come take a look at this!" Jimin yelled while motioning us over.

I brought the radio that we were using to play music along with us just in case a message to the public was being played. When the rest of us finally reached the top of the hill, we saw smoke coming from everywhere. The music suddenly stopped and the noises for weather or amber alerts started going off for a few seconds before we heard a voice come on the radio.

Now this voice wasn't like the pre-recorded ones you would normally hear. This was a real person delivering this message live. We all looked at each other before looking back at the radio as the man began to speak.

"This is a message to everyone in South Korea. There was an explosion in our medical labs that caused highly toxic chemicals and deadly viruses to mix. During this explosion, the deadly mixture was sprayed on all the workers in the lab. The workers who weren't affected and got out safely said they saw their co-workers die but somehow come back to life. They started attacking them. It seems whoever is bitten by one of these creatures, turns into one of them. We urge that you grab what you can and get off the streets. Get to higher ground if possible. Rescue helicopters are on their way and will take you somewhere safe. Please stay safe everyone."

My mouth was slightly open. No way. This can't be happening! It has to be a nightmare!

"From the information that was just released, it sounds like zombies are now walking the earth." Taehyung said, breaking the silence.
