Midoriya Izuku never once questioned why he lived the way he did. All he knew was to appreciate it. His mother, Inko, had always taught him that. The single mother and her only son lived in a two story building. On the second floor was their home. It was very small, just two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a microscopic kitchen, but it was enough for the Midoriya family. The second floor consisted of a cute coffee shop that Inko owned. It wasn't much, but the shop collected enough money to keep a living for both her and her son. The shop was named Midoriya Coffee.

Across the street lived their "competition". It was a large building that had three stories, the first being a cafe. The second and third stories belonged to the owners of the cafe, the Bakugou family. Their financial situation was much more stable than the Midoriya family, however, Inko being as kind as she was, befriended the Bakugou family and was pleasantly surprised they had a young boy the same age as her son. They were both fourteen at the time.

Katsuki and Izuku first met at the Bakugou cafe, named The Baku Co. Izuku was timid and small and was immediately intimidated by the boy with the explosive personality, Katsuki. Katsuki on the other hand, was underwhelmed by this fragile looking kid, and decided that day that it didn't matter if their parents were friends, Katsuki would never let Izuku hang around him.

Later that year, the Bakugou family moved to America to make Baku Co. a real corporation. Staying true to his word, Katsuki never even said goodbye to Izuku. Izuku didn't care too much about their departure either. Ever since Katsuki gave him the nickname "Deku" on their first meeting, Izuku felt that he was mean and didn't want to be friends with him either.

However, there was one thing Katsuki would never admit. Izuku was adorable in his eyes. He probably didn't remember, but when Katsuki left, he saw Izuku watching him from his room, crying. That image in particular never quite left Katsuki.

Seven years has passed since then.

Izuku barely even remembers Katsuki. The only thing that makes him think about Katsuki is when he sees a Baku Co. cafe. The Bakugou family succeeded in becoming a large company. Cafes in their name were all over the world. From what Izuku could tell, the Bakugous were probably extremely rich.

The Midoriya Coffee shop was doing the same as it always had: just enough to get by. Izuku graduated high school and got a scholarship to U.A. University. Studying at his dream school meant everything to him. All his time was either spent doing homework or working at the coffee shop. Sometimes he did both at the same time, reading a text book in between customers.

Today was an especially slow day, so Izuku was reading his book, as usual, muttering when he read something especially interesting. He was so enticed in the book that he didn't notice a certain spiky blonde haired boy enter the cafe until he heard a hand slam down on the order station.

"S-sorry! I didn't see you there!" Izuku looked up, surprised at the noise. The other boy scoffed. He was wearing dark glasses, so Izuku couldn't see what he looked like. The spiky blonde hair did look somewhat familiar, though he didn't know why.

"No shit Sherlock." The blonde man said in a deep voice. "Just take my fucking order already."

"Y-yes of course! My apologies.." Izuku scrambled to grab his notepad to write down the order. "What may I get for you today sir?"

"Coffee. Black."

"Will that be all?" The stranger smirked at that.

"Hm, well I'd also like to take your sorry ass out of here too." Izuku stiffened.

"U-uh I'm sorry, what?"

"Heh, once a Deku always a Deku." With that, Katsuki took off his sunglasses to reveal his piercing red eyes that Izuku could never forget.

"K-kacchan?! What are you doing here?!" Shocked was an understatement. Izuku would have been shocked if Katsuki had simply came back. But he not only came back, he came back with an awful, cheesy pickup line!

"Just moved back from America. Transferring to U.A. University starting tomorrow."

"No way! Thats where I go!"

"Guess I'll be seeing you tomorrow then." Katsuki said while paying him for the coffee he already had in his hand. Iida was very fast at making coffee. Also he may have been listening the whole time..

"W-wait! Why did you come back??" Midoriya asked, genuinely confused.

"Tomorrow. See ya." Bakugou Katsuki said with a small wave as he left.

Midoriya had no choice but to go to school tomorrow. He had to know why his first love left.
