chapter four, confession

After classes I met buru behind the bleachers. The cold fall air made my hair stand on end. It was getting darker by the minute.
"Hey, you wanted to talk?" I asked
"Yeah, I just wanted to sway your really pretty and I-i...."
"You what?" Kyoshi interrupted.
"Aww does the little lizard love the bunny rabbit? How, well let's say, disgusting!"
"And you think you have a chance with shiro with that attitude? No way freak."
"Who are you calling a freak bitch!"
She raised her hand to stop me but buru placed himself in front of me while shiro grabbed her hand.
"That's enough, you better get to your home before your mothers snacks get cold, human." He spat.
He let her go.
"Run along before I feed you to my pack."
She hissed mockingly and ran off.
"Are you two okay?"
"Yeah" we answered in unison.
Buru then realized in the tone only my voice that I like someone else.
"So what were you gonna say?"
"So, yeah, I got this rash-"
"Woah, wait a minute, you asked me out here about a rash?"
"You didn't let me finish, I need help." He showed it to us. It was a snake like lizard, or maybe a salamander.
"That's strange."
