Their words

Across the country or in my bed, I will
always love you.

You're a work of art behind the velvet rope, untouchable and beautiful.
Not everyone thinks you're as perfect as I do and that's okay.
You call yourself a rat, a waste of space and that's okay.
I cannot change your mind but I can show you how much I love you.

Holding your hand even when we're in bed.
Kissing your cheek, lips, neck and chest.
Bringing you breakfast in bed and doing your laundry while your busy.
I want you to know that no matter what anyone says about you, I love you for you.

Those words divide us because you believe you're not good enough to be loved.
The distance between us grows every time you listen to those negative words.
I want to grab you and hold you in my arm and show you that out life can get better if we're together,
but your across the country,
and you said you never really loved me.

This distance you've created is a wall meant to protect your heart but I'm already in and your scared of what I've done. I've made you my home and I don't want to let go.

This wall is made by brick to stop the break.
