Chapter 4

"Uhh...yeah," Plagg said.
"Well, that explains why Marinette and Lady Misfortune are both akumatized. They're the same person!" Adrien replied. "We've got to save them! Plagg, claws out!"
As Cat Noir jumped from building to building, he found Lady Misfortune. She was looking down at a girl who was walking around the town. She looked so familiar.
"Oh no," Cat Noir said to himself when he recognized her. It was Melina!
Lady Misfortune jumped down from the building, landing right in front of Melina. "Well hello there."
Melina screamed and tried to run away. Lady Misfortune caught her with her yo-yo. "You will pay for what you did!"
"What did I do? Please let me go!" Melina struggled to get out of Lady Misfortune's yo-yo.
"You broke my heart along with Adrien, so you will pay as well!" Lady Misfortune replied. She threw Melina up and over a building.
"AHH!" Melina screamed as she flew through the air.
Cat Noir was able to catch her just before she hit the ground.
"Thank you so much!" Melina said to him. She got up and ran away.
"Well, well, well," Lady Misfortune said while walking up to Cat Noir. "Looks like a cat wants to play."
"M'lady, this isn't you!" Cat Noir reasoned with her.
"Enough small talk." Lady Misfortune threw her yo-yo at Cat Noir. He dodged it and tried to strike her down with his staff.
"Too slow, kitty," Lady Misfortune said while reeling in her yo-yo.
"Stop!" Cat Noir pleaded. "I won't fight you!"
"Lady Misfortune," Hawkmoth said as the purple mask appeared. "Cat Noir is trying to get in your head! Get his miraculous!"
"Of course, Hawkmoth," Lady Misfortune replied. She used her yo-yo to jump from building to building.
"Hey, look!" someone yelled. "There's Cat Noir and Ladybug!"
Everyone looked up to watch Lady Misfortune and Cat Noir jump around the top of buildings. As Cat Noir and Lady Misfortune stopped in front of the Eiffel Tower, everyone crowded around them, staring at the commotion. Lady Misfortune shot her yo-yo out at Cat Noir who blocked the hit with his staff. Everyone gasped as Lady Misfortune shot Cat Noir again.
I can't fight Lady Misfortune here, Cat Noir thought. There's too many people.
"If you want my miraculous, come and get it!" Cat Noir said while using his staff to climb the Eiffel Tower. He watched as Lady Misfortune followed after him.
"Where are you kitty?" she said when she got to the top of the tower. As she turned around, Cat Noir jumped on top of her, pinning her down.
"Gotcha!" he said. "Now, to get rid of that akuma!"
Lady Misfortune laughed. That's when Cat Noir noticed that she tied her yo-yo around a part of the Eiffel Tower. She pulled herself up, releasing herself from the grip of Cat Noir.
"Nice try kitty, but you can't fool me!" she said. She jumped down from the tower and swung away.
"So close," Cat Noir said to himself. He jumped down and ran into the nearest alleyway. "Plagg, claws in."
"You know, you have to strategize before acting, Adrien," Plagg said.
"Yeah, I noticed," Adrien replied. He walked out of the alley with Plagg hiding in his shirt. "Now what?"
Plagg shrugged. "What fixes a broken heart?"
"Huh?" Adrien asked.
"You know. Marinette and Ladybug are the same person, so that means that they were both akumatized because of a broken heart," Plagg explained.
"Then what fixes a broken heart?" Adrien asked. "Shouldn't you know? You've been around for some hundred years."
"I kind of just said that and I know that, but remember what Master Fu said? Nothing like this has ever happened," Plagg replied.
"Here, let's get home so we can speak more privately about this." Adrien suggested.
"Okay," Plagg said as he and Adrien made their way to Adrien's mansion.

"Tikki, spots off," Marinette said when she made it to her bedroom.
"Marinette," Tikki said as she flew out of the earring. "Please stop."
"What should I?" Marinette asked. "I still need to find Adrien and give him what he deserves."
"He doesn't deserve anything!" Tikki pleaded. "Please just stop Marinette. Just please give me your earrings."
"You really think I would do that?" Marinette asked. She rolled her eyes and walked over to her computer. She searched the news channel. The first thing that caught her eye was about Ladybug.
"Greeting everyone," Mrs. Chamack said on the news. "Today, many people have seen what looked like Ladybug attacking Cat Noir in front of the Eiffel Tower. Ladybug appeared to be wearing a dark outfit with crimson spots as told by some of the witnesses. As we continue to look into the situation—"
Marinette shut off her computer. "Looks like I made the news, Tikki. I think it's time to give Paris an idea of what I am capable of." She grinned. "Tikki, spots on!"

"Do you really think this will work, Plagg?" Adrien asked.
"I'm pretty sure it will," Plagg replied.
"Okay," Adrien said. He looked out the window just to see Lady Misfortune jumping from building to building. "It's time to go. Plagg, claws out!"
