Chapter 5

As Cat Noir reached the bottom of the Eiffel Tower, he scanned the area for Lady Misfortune. Suddenly, he heard a chuckle behind him. He turned around and saw himself facing Lady Misfortune.
"So, you came back for more?" Lady Misfortune grinned.
Cat Noir shrugged. "I guess I did." He pulled out his staff and tried to his Lady Misfortune. She dodged it easily as he suspected.
"You have not gotten any better with that thing, have you?" Lady Misfortune teased. She let out a laugh and then shot her yo-yo at him. Cat Noir also dodged it.
"Maybe not with my staff, but maybe with my dodging," Cat Noir winked at her.
As Lady Misfortune kept trying to hit him with her yo-yo, Cat Noir kept dodging and backing up. "Are you scared kitty?" she asked as she noticed Cat Noir's movements.
"Not at all," Cat Noir replied, keeping his eye on the yo-yo.
After minutes of fighting, Cat Noir pulled out his staff and used it to hit Lady Misfortune's yo-yo away. Lady Misfortune tried to pull the staff away from him by wrapping her yo-yo around it and jerking it out of his hands, but Cat Noir already know she was going to do that. As the yo-yo wrapped around his staff, Cat Noir pulled on his staff, pulling the yo-yo with it.
"Hey!" Lady Misfortune called as the yo-yo stuck onto Cat Noir's staff. "Give me back my yo-yo!"
"Later," Cat Noir replied. With Lady Misfortune's yo-yo around his staff and Lady Misfortune hanging on, he extended his staff and climbed the Eiffel Tower. When he made it to the top, he swung his staff above his head, pulling up Lady Misfortune with it.
"AHH!" Lady Misfortune screamed. As she neared the top of the Eiffel Tower, she landed on her feet and released her yo-yo from Cat Noir's grasp. "You will pay for what you did!" She struck her yo-yo at Cat Noir, who caught it in his hand.
"Nice try, bugaboo," he replied, winking. He pulled Lady Misfortune closer to him using the yo-yo. When she was in his grasp, he pulled her close so that he was against her.
"Get away from me!" Lady Misfortune struggled to break free of Cat Noir's grasp.
"It's time to get Ladybug back!" Cat Noir replied. He pushed himself against Lady Misfortune with his lips touching hers. Surprisingly, Lady Misfortune closed her eyes and embraced Cat Noir. Suddenly, the little akuma flew out of Lady Misfortune's earring. As it suddenly disappeared from view, the purple and black smoke consumed Lady Misfortune, and when it cleared, Marinette knelt in her place.
"Wh-what happened?" she asked, looking up.
"You were akumatized, but don't worry. It's all over now," Cat Noir helped Marinette stand up.
Marinette stood in front of Cat Noir looking down. "I'm sorry about all of the drama I caused."
"Don't worry Marinette," Cat Noir put his hand on her shoulder. "It's my fault, too.
"No it isn't," Marinette replied.
"Here, I'll explain everything when we get down," Cat Noir pulled out his stick. Extending it, he and Marinette made their way down the Eiffel Tower.
"Follow me," Cat Noir beckoned Marinette to follow him into an alleyway. He turned around, facing Marinette. "Plagg, claws in."
As Cat Noir detransformed, Marinette gasped at who she saw. "Adrien?"
"Yep," Adrien said, smirking nervously.
"I-" Marinette sighed. She turned to go, but a hand on her wrist stopped her.
"Please don't go Marinette," Adrien pleaded. "I swear that me and Melina are not together."
Marinette turned around with her head down. "I saw you two together-"
"Yes, but I love you!" Adrien blurted out.
Marinette looked up. "Do you, or do you love Ladybug?"
"I love both of you," Adrien replied. "I liked Ladybug, but I liked you too. When I saw that you were Ladybug-"
Marinette sighed. "Are you sure?"
"I'm positive," Adrien replied, grabbing Marinette's hand.
Marinette smiled. "I love you, too."
With that, Adrien and Marinette walked out of the alleyway, hand in hand.

Weeks passed. It was Saturday and Adrien and Marinette hung out together for most of the time. Alya asked them how they ended up together. They always told her that it was fate. Chloe did mess with Marinette for "stealing her boyfriend," but Adrien always came in at the time. They would always hang out either at the park or at Marinette's place playing Ultimate Mecha Strike III. Marinette always won. After every long day, the two of them would relax in Adrien's room, watching some TV while their kwamis played together. And whenever Hawkmoth struck, the two of them would be out in the night, defeating every villain thrown at them. No matter what, they will always be miraculous.
