Chapter One

It was weird to run in a frozen world. Cars that shot gas froze in mid-air. Flying birds in position. I past a dog drinking water nearby the ponds , and I was also amazed how his tongue froze in such awesome position. Sorry , I'm weird.

Walking on the streets , I thought many logical theories of what could've happened - since thinking of theories were my habit.

Probably I'm daydreaming.

Maybe I fainted , and now I'm in a coma.

Somehow I probably was blessed by God.

I think I am still dreaming from history class-

A sudden kick of violent air throws me to the ground. It felt like a wave of winds with the strength of a tornado had just shoved me forwards. I quickly rise my head , and that was when my heart raced.

The movement of the cars were rewinding and forwarding constantly - like a scratched DVD. Birds that flew among me were the same way. Only one conclusion lighten my head.

Time is beginning to proceed. I thought.

I had no hesitation. I tried to throw myself up from the ground , but it felt like gravity was sittingon me. My body was glued to the street where cars were once driving,and now my action reacted like everything else- it repeatedly acted like a scratch DVD. My body was on the ground , then in mid-air , then back to the ground. I wanted to just scream to stop time again , but my humor wasn't important right now.

Now my body completely falls flat on the road , and the noises of driving cars finally occurs. The truck that drove towards me didn't notice me on the ground. Maybe he was either confused how a teenage girl ended up in the middle of the lane , or he took too much of his medical pills.

My first and quickest reaction was to shove myself up. Lifting myself with my two slenderly arms , I finally stand straight on my two feet. The truck was so close that I felt the heat of the engine by then. I thought this was it.

Closing my eyes as I waited for death to come in any second , a loud noise bangs clearly. It was so loud and close that I even felt the shockwaves.

Am I dead? The words echo in my absent mind. Is this how it feels like?

Opening my eyes to expect the heavens shining at me , I see the truck , that nearly collided with me, in debris right by my feet. The man behind the wheel stumbles out of the vehicle with blood over his face. What had caused this tragicity? Nearby cars stop to help the poor man , yet nobody notices me. That was when I realized.

A blue invisible shield surrounds me as if I was in a circular force field. It begins to glow , dim , glow , dim , and eventually dies out. The shield must've also made me invisible , too , because as soon as the force field died , the nearby supporters gasp as they see my appearance.

"God sent us an angel from the heavens!" The religious lady who wiped the blood of the man's face praised.

"I'm not an angel-" I shook my head , forgetting what I've just said. Maybe I can play Guardian Angel for a day.

I ran to the bleeding man who laid weightless on the road. Glass dug into certain spots of his face, and blood dripped nearly at every possible spot. He looked pale...dead pale. Because of me , he had been seriously injured.

"Sir..sir.."I repeatedly mumble , helping the lady maintain his blood.

Eventually the ambulance arrives. Traffic from a distance awaits , as clearance slowly clears for the driveway. The man haven't opened his eyes , neither did he made signs of life - besides his pulse. "Make sure he's okay.."I sniff to the doctor on board.
