In any other situation, Luna Lovegood wouldn't have cursed, however this wasn't just any situation.

The fact that a dementor had attacked the
train was one thing, the fact that it had decided to go after her new friend was something else entirely. And it also didn't help that for some reason Draco Malfoy was being nice for some reason. No, nothing about this day was regular. Then again, no one thought she was regular either.

As soon as the ghastly thing had hit Percy and the American had slammed into the door, she thought he would have been done for. Call her pessimistic, but it was highly unlikely that a young wizard with barely any schooling would survive a fight with one of the soul suckers. She was completely surprised that Percy didn't seem phased by begging thrown into a door, but he did have a far away look in his eyes as the damned soul sucker slowly floated over to him. Percy's cat meowed anxiously and Luna almost felt sorry for it.

The words escaped her mouth without a second of hesitation.

"PERCY WHAT THE BLOOD HELL ARE YOU DOING?!?"

Percy's eyes focused in front of him surprisingly fast and Luna saw him reach for his wand. He pointed it at the Dementor. His next words rung throughout the whole train car. They were words that both Luna and Draco were surprised to hear him say.

"EXPECTO PATRONUM!!"

Silvery light poured from the tip of Percy's wand like a fountain. For just a few moments, Luna thought that the cry of the spell had been in vain, that Percy's would would soon be gone and that she'd lose a friend that she had only just made.

At the very least she'd expected the silvery wisps of the spell to stay, a non corporeal patron is was better than anything and she expected nothing other than that. The thirteen year old was surprised when, after a few moments of sputtering silvery mist, a silvery animal burst  from the tip of Percy's wand and landed onto the floor of the train car. Luna quickly recognized it as a doe. A deer, a female deer. (I'm sorry, I had to.)

The doe stood protectively in front of Percy and between him and the dementor. The patrons gave off such a strong and warm light that the dementor already seemed to be intent on leaving the situation.

She noticed that Percy himself seemed like he was about to pass out. He could barely keep his eyes open and the doe took a defensive stance in front of him. Nevertheless, the dementor seemed to finally gain back what're sense of bravery that it had, because it once again tried to advance toward Percy. Luna didn't know what to do, and before she could even think of something, Draco rushed past her and to Percy's side. The blonde boy quickly took Percy's arm and slung it over his shoulder, Luna found it extremely out of his character. Before voicing that opinion she rushed and took Percy's other arm and slung it over her shoulder too.

Together they carried the black haired boy back into their compartment and closed the door. The dementor made the move to follow them, but the silver doe as in front of the door in an instant. This time however, the doe didn't wait for the dementor to make it's move. Instead the doe attacked outright, hitting the dementor in it's chest with nonexistent antlers.

As the two opposites collided, the patronus burst into a bright light. Luna only heard the wheeze like screeches of the dementor as it was banished from the train car. When the light from the patronus died down, both Luna and Draco couldn't help but be somewhat amazed. Both of them turned and looked at the thirteen year old who had just casted a powerful patronus in disbelief. The sleeping teen didn't notice as he rested his head on Draco's shoulder and Luna pretended not to notice the blush that appeared on Draco's face at the movement.

Neither Draco or Luna said anything as the train began moving once again. Percy stayed cuddled up against Draco's side as the train continued onward and because Percy stayed, so did Draco's blush.
