So it wasn't hard for me to see that Hufflepuff Percy won the house vote ad as of now and into the future, his animagus form is a dog. I'm sorry to those who voted otherwise but those two very clearly stuck out. Anyway the next tow updates should be out sometime during the week, because i do get a few days off so look forward to those. Thanks for reading, enjoy the chapter.
Although it did freak hm out, Percy had to agree with the voice in his head.
You have no idea. He replied to the voice of what he suspected to be the sorting hat. He was used o gods and goddesses speaking in his head, but a hat was arguably something slightly something different. The thought of Riptide speaking in in mind brought a wave of sudden and intrusive thoughts. He sounds red what the sword would sound like and very briefly wondered about what kind of conversations he'd have with a talking sword.
We don't usually have demigods at Hogwarts, but I suppose the circumstances of your birth are quite special. You'd do well in Gryffindor, the two quests you have under your belt prove that to be true, even if they were after your own ambitions. To get back your mother you went barging into a quest with barely any training and not nearly enough supplies. You also traversed the sea of monsters, to save your friend. Not many would have done that, but you did. Whether it be out of stupidity or bravery, you went though two very dangerous situations to save the people you love.
Percy briefly flashed back to his first summer at camp half blood. When the lord of the dead and his uncle had kidnapped his mother because of a petty war god, a bitter former friend, and a second paranoid uncle.
He also remembered his second summer, when the same bitter demigod had poisoned Camp Half Blood's pine tree that protected them from the monsters that had hunted them everyday of their lives. He remembered hw not only had he had gone on that quest to save Camp Half Blood, but also saved a friend in the process and gained a cousin.
If you take nothing else from this today, Perseus James Potter, I want you to remember that you are not being sorted by the traits that you have but by the traits you value most.
You'd also do quite well in Ravenclaw, even if one might not think. You yourself are quite intelligent, even if you might hide it from hose close to you. You show a unique creativity in the way that you go about your everyday, monster fighting life. You've accepted that everything in your life was never quite as you saw it and that with the presence of gods, there's so much that can change around you in such a short amount of time. Despite that fact that monsters hunt you constantly, and the gods can change your life with the click of a finger you've accepted it all, and only at thirteen years old.
The truth rang loud in Percy's head when he realized that he hadn't had enough time to deny anything that life threw at him. The first being the fact that everyone was convinced that his mother was dead during his first quest, yet he'd still been insistent on bring her back from the underworld. From that point on Percy realized that he hadn't doubted anything that had once been brushed off as myths and legends.
Even now as he sat in front of a school full of wizards, a brother that he'd never knew, and new friends. That realization stuck with him.
But alas Perseus, we aren't finished yet. Slytherin would also welcome you as an honored member. While you aren't particularly ambitious or achievement oriented, you are cunning, determined and clever. While you may not see it now, you do have a strong sense of leadership and the qualities associated with it.
All in all you're a very well rounded demigod, but we cant forget about the last house on our list: Hufflepuff.
You' re a very dedicated child, Perseus, at least to those who you consider your friends and family. A Hufflepuff values loyalty Perseus James Potter, and you are the very embodiment of that. To save a friend you'd start the end of the world, and only after that friend is safe would you save the world. You are kind enough to defend and befriends an outcast, and fair play is also something you chose when in competition and in real life. You child, are one of those that would grow to do great things after you left Hogwarts as a Hufflepuff.
The choice is a hard one Perseus, but even I can't decide alone, you must chose who you want to be as a student of Hogwarts. As a demigod. As a person.
Percy nodded. He wanted to be someone other people could count on, whether he was young or not. He wanted people to know that he'd be there, even when times seemed darkest. Even if he wasn't able to be there physically, he always wanted people to know that he was there as support.
Very well Perseus James Potter, it seemed that you've made your choice. The house I choose for you is-
"Hufflepuff!!!"
The great hall was, arguably, dead silent. The sorting had taken longer than. Any of them had expected. Five minutes and forty five seconds had passed since the hat had been placed on the youngest Potter's head. Everyone had fully expected the boy to enter Gryffindor with his brother but the couldn't argue with the magic hat.
Slowly the Hufflepuffs began to rise from their seats, each of them clapping as they welcomed the new., rather unexpected addition. From her own table, Luna began clapping too,, and was quickly followed by her housemates. After the Ravenclaws, the Slytherin surprising followed in the celebration of the houses choosing, spearheaded by a reluctant Draco Malfoy.
Lastly to join were the Gryffindors, who were surprised that the other Potter hadn't been selected to join their house. Harry found himself to be the one cheering the loudest, even if his brother wasn't in the same house as hm, he was sure that they'd find some other way of spending time together. Whether that meant breaking the rules or not.
At the head table, the teachers looked at the young boy in shock. His sorting had taken even longer than one Minerva McGonagall, they didn't even want to know what this meant about the boy. One professor in general looked at the boy with narrowed eyes.In any capacity he could sense that the boy could cause a lot of trouble.
As everyone eventually settled Dow, Dumbledore stood at the head of the room once again. Percy had long since went to join his new house mates, and now it was once again Dumbledore's time t speak.
"I have only a few words to say before dinner begins. Wolfsbane."
A teacher tensed.
"Olympian."
A certain Potter child, grew weary.
" and rat."
A certain rat hidden deep within a redhead's pocket squeezed.
"Let the feast begin!"
