kathryn mayfair-richards was spunky and spontaneous, she had a very interesting personality that not everyone could get used to. kathryn is eighteen years old and was adopted when she was eight years old by two very lovely ladies who took her in when she was going through some terrible times in the orphanage. everything in their lives was just average, ally and ivy had their jobs and now that kathryn was eighteen she too had a job. she usually used the money she earned on new clothing and sometimes she would treat herself to some delicious sweets or junk food she really didn't usually eat.
kathryn laid flat on her stomach, laying on her bed as she had her phone pressed against her ear as she painted her nails black. gently blowing on the wet polish in hopes to help it dry faster "did you really tell her that?" kathryn said into the phone talking to her best friend christin, the two met in 6th grade and had been inseparable since then. whenever one of them brought trouble the other was dragged in to it but they didn't mind as long as they were there for each other.
kathryn could hear christin chuckle from the other side of the line "of course i really told her that, let's just say she freaked out so bad." christin said which made kathryn laugh out loud trying not to mess up her freshly painted nails, "this election is bullshit, honestly i wish obama could've been our president again." kathryn said as she stood up off her bed and made her way out of her bedroom, she continued to blow on her nails as she slowly went down the stairs phone still attached to her ear as christin talked on the other side of the line.
kathryn walked into the living room where all the adults were sat/standing as they watched the news to keep track of the election, "i wont believe anything until i hear rachel maddow say it, she's the only one i trust." ally mayfair-richards also known as one of kathryn's moms said as she paced back and forth "how is this happening?" ivy mayfair-richards kathryn's other mom says while leaning back into the chair she was sitting in with kathryn's little brother Oz.
"who's winning?" kathryn says sitting on the arm rest of the chair her mom ivy was sitting in "if it keeps going like this trump is definitely gonna win." she says and kathryn rolls her eyes before speaking into her cellphone "christin i'll call you back later." she said and quickly hung up the phone putting it into her back pocket before looking over at the television as she began to watch what was happening.
"...have now confirmed that secretary clinton has conceded to donald trump. uh, this concession took place in a phone call." the reporter says making kathryn look over at her mom ally, small tears starting to form and fall down her cheeks.
