PrologueThe scream of a little girl could be heard from down the hall. A father races down to the door with the pink lilies painted on the frame. He opens the door and sits on the end of the bed. The room is dark and toys are strewn about the place. In the dim light he could barely make out the tear stained face of his little girl. He scoops her up and asks her if she had a nightmare. Shaking her head vigorously she begins to explain how a man was standing in the corner of her room. Her father looks down on the bed and finds a book. The Book of Phobias. Her father lets out a sigh then assures her that she had just been dreaming and there isn't a man waiting for her. He gives her a kiss on the forehead and begins to leave when she reaches out for him and begs her father to let her stay with him tonight. Sighing, he picks her up and begins his way to his room. Once in the hall the little girl watches her door slowly shut.
