Do you ever find yourself thinking about one particular, random thing? You think about it so much that what was just an everyday thing completely morphs into something strange and hard to really comprehend. Or, you think about something so much it that just blows your mind that something like that can exist. Say, sunrise, a rainbow, or the universe spread out to your view in the night sky. The colours we see are completely natural. No human touch has manipulated them. They just are.
It's hard to imagine beauty like that came from nothing. That, right there, is where some part of my own 'spiritual' belief comes into play. Something – or someone - bigger must have had a hand in creating that, right?
I don't know. These are thoughts of a sleep deprived human at two in the morning.

It was Friday, Mum's day off finally, but I had to spend it in the library with four other students to complete a project for Monday. Since none of us had anything on that day, and we didn't want to do anything over the weekend, we decided to blitz it in a day and get it done.
Sophie, the group leader, had decided that we all had to meet at 9am sharp. According to her, "the sooner we start the sooner we finish". Although the rest of us knew she was right, we still resented her saying it.
When I arrived, I met Ophelia at the entrance and we walked in together. Other than Elle, Ophelia was one of the only girls I genuinely liked and considered a friend. She was quiet, and always the one watching rather than being the centre of attention. She was also extremely bright.
Sophie and the others were already set up and gathered around a table.
"Lia, Ophelia, hi! Grab a seat and we can get started!" Sophie said, rather enthusiastically. She was always happy, like always. It was admirable, but tiring when you just want to be in a bad mood.
We sat on one side, joined by Cole, opposite Sophie and Dean. "So, Soph, what're we doing?" Cole clasped his hands on the table and looked at her expectantly.
Thanks to the combined effort of all of us, we managed to crack out a twenty slide presentation on language in the eighteenth century by the end of that morning. By then, I think it's safe to say our brains and our eyes were frazzled from looking at computer screens for three hours straight. Sophie had only let us have a ten minute break in the middle.
But it was finished none the less.
"Well done, you can all go now!" She laughed, somehow still full of energy while the rest of us were slouched back in our chairs or over the table top.
"I don't think I can actually move." Cole groaned and stretched painfully. I must admit that my legs felt too stiff to move. I slapped him hard on the back, making him shoot upright and give me the middle finger.
"I'm going to Benny's to grab some lunch, if anyone wants to join me." The words left my mouth before I'd even finished thinking the thought, much to my own surprise.
"Sure." Ophelia nodded.
"Food. Yes." Cole got to his feet, still moving like an old man.
The other two said they had lectures and declined, leaving just the three of us to go. It was actually really nice to hang out with people I didn't normally see. Oh, how proud Elle would have been if she could've seen me. When we were all done eating, Ophelia got a cab. Cole walked me back to my house. He told me that he lived close by, which I hadn't known before then.
"I don't think I've ever heard you speak so much before." He nudged my arm with his elbow.
"Usually I don't have much to say." I laughed softly.
