Unknown's game

Chapter 5

    While thinking about who we want to stay with, we couldn't talk in the chat group or with each other. Everyone’s phone was on hold and all you could do was turn it on and stare at the time, you couldn't unlock it or even send a single message to Unknown.

Text Message:

Unknown: It has been 20 minutes, so get ready to cast in your votes.

You: I'm scared

Unknown: The rules are, if you pick someone, and that person doesnt pick you back, then you are going to be alone till we have another round of choosing people. The person that no one chooses at all dies. So cast in your votes now.

         After Unknown said that, I was pretty sure everyone casted their votes already. My heart was stopping every time I think that I was going to be chosen out. I sat on the bed, waiting. I wonder if Issa picked me I thought to myself.

Text Message:

Unknown: Since everyone casted in their partner votes, shall we have lunch?

         The small doors opened, the light shined in through the small hole and the smell of fried chicken started to fill my room, I tried to avoid it, thinking there might be sleeping pills mixed in the chicken, but I couldn't avoid. My stomach was hungry from Unknown making me worry to much.

         After eating lunch, I passed out. I wasn't sure if it was because of the food, or because I was to tired. When I was awake it was night, the moon's silver light was faded and only the far corner was lit up. “Uh” I heard someone groan.

    “Who...Who’s there?!” I shouted in fear.

    “Minnie?” He said again. I wasn’t sure, but I was 75% sure it was Blake. I ran to get my phone and shined my light towards the darker part of the room, It was Blake. “Blake!” I gave him a big hug. “You choose me? Why?” I faintly stared into his eyes.

    “Cause if I’m going to die here, then your face would be the last one I would want to see” he gave me a small smile, even when he was in pain. I hugged him again, glad that I made the right choice.

Text Message:

Unknown: So, there was actually people here who can read each other’s mind.

You: Ash, who did you choose?

Asher: Issa.

Marissa: I'm sorry. I choose Unknown.

Blake: Who in their right mind would choose Unknown?!

You: Are you crazy?!

Marissa: I want to be free, and torture people, I think I’m in love with Unknown…

Stacy: Uh oh

Kate: The battle between friends

Unknown: $50 has been added to your ‘Premade’ Accounts.

James: HOLY SHIT!

Stacy: What?!

Unknown: To those who has a partner.

Ralfe: Fuck.

Mary: Fair?

Stacy: Wait, What? Give me another chance.

Marissa: Me to, I want another chance.

Asher: Who are you exactly?

Unknown: That would be the ultimate question, Who ever can answer that question would get 1 million in cash, and be free.

Ralfe: WTF?!

Stacy: Give me hints!

James: Wth.

Unknown: There are different hints, for different people.

    I tapped Blake’s shoulders “Who do you think it is?”

    “I don't know…” He stared at his phone. “But if he gives us hints, then we can share them, and get out together” I nodded, agreeing with what he said. It’s on, Unknown. Being with Blake was like being on a non-ending date, while being kidnapped. We were talking together as if we were at home, or at school, as if it was a normal day. While talking, I wasn’t feeling scared anymore, like I was floating in the sky, free, talking to the person I had a crush on for years.

    Talking with Blake made time go faster, before I knew it, it was already morning and the sun’s warm sun rays were shining on my skin, warming me up. “Why do you even like me? I’m like… “ I paused.

    “Minnie, I’ve known you since the 2nd grade. I know you better than you think” He laughed at me “I like you because you’re nice, even if you don’t say so… Plus, you’re cute” Blake gave me a dumb smile and laughed, I smiled back at him.

Text Message:

Unknown: Get ready for the next round. It quite a nasty game, but its a fun way to clean your place. 😛

Stacy: Cleaning?

Kate: Does it have something to do with killing?!

You: …Nasty?

Unknown: At exactly 3 Am, a couple dozen of rats would be dropped into your place, small holes would open up for them to hide but not go anywhere. Your goal is to kill as many as you can in 1 hour. Good luck. 🍀🍀

         I freaked out and turned on my phone, it was 2:45 Am. I was scared of rats, mice, and other small nasty creatures. I didn't know what exactly should I do, let Blake do all the work, or try to get nasty and do some work myself. It was now 2:55 am, and I'm still freaking out about the rats. They could be as huge as humans right? I've never seen one before in my life, the only animal i've had in my home was a cute fluffy Pomeranian dog, named snowflake.

         A bell ranged, warning us that it was now 3 am, and the rats are out of the cage. The first one that dropped into our place was a rat the size of my hands placed together, tip to tip. It was probably 10 inches long and it was huge, I screamed out loud and I could also hear bats falling from the hole above, making a loud noise. Soon everyone was probably screaming or hitting their metal bats against the stone cold floor.

    The first one was dead and I was just waiting for the second one, everything seemed bloody in my eyes. The rat’s head was smashed into pieces and it’s guts was about to fly all over the place. Blood covered the top part of the bat and the small part on the floor was a tiny pond of only blood. A bell ran each time Unknown was going to drop a rat down, the second time there was 2 rats, Blake did the same and killed them both. So far so disgusting. Each time the rats are dropped down, it doubled by 2. On the 4th bell, another bat was dropped down along with 8 rats. The time was shorter and there was more and more.

    I had no choice but to help Blake till the 10th round was over, or this whole place would be crawling with nasty rats. The 6th round there was 32, then 64, and more. Most of them crawled into the holes, but there wasn't enough space to fit them all 4,191 rats. Where in hell is Unknown getting all these rats?! The killing was non stop, he even dropped in 2 more bats so we could have it on both hands, but it still wasn't working. The more rats there was the more they were roaming freely. In 30 minutes me and Blake killed all the free roaming ones, it was hard work but we had to.
