The worst kind of missing is missing someone who does not miss you back
There is missing because of death
Missing because of the impossibility of distance, both physical and emotional
Missing because of rivalries
Missing because of time or lack thereof
But the worst of all is missing unrequitedlyFor in all other instances of missing you are missed back
Even when you miss because of death
Where the finality is greatest
At least there can be solace in knowing that while they could, they loved youUnrequited missing however
That burns a hole in your soul
It destroys you to pine for a soul who does not care for you
A soul who does not pale in your absence
A soul to whom you are not even a passing thought
And yet for you, that soul is your every thoughtYes, unrequited missing is the worst kind of missing
Because it reminds you of how insignificant you were to that person you held in the highest esteemsAuthor's Note:
It is inevitable not to experience the loss of someone in your life be it temporarily or permanently. Sending all my love to everyone right now, especially those who are going through a strong loss.Love,
Lily
