Above is how I would picture Mia.
The next morning my alarm goes off at 6:00am. The interview isn't until 10 but I want to be sure I'm actually ready. It takes only a minute to drag my butt out of bed. One of the reasons I take my showers at night rather than in the morning, is then I don't have to find time in my already busy mornings to shower. So now that my shower is already out of the way, I can move onto other important things that I have to accomplish today. On my way to the bathroom I whisk through the kitchen, and turn on my Keurig machine. I love my Keurig machine. It's very convenient and easy to use. Following this I bound to the bathroom. Now I know what you must be thinking. "Why the hell is she 'bounding' to the bathroom? Like didn't she just wake up? I'd be still half asleep!" I'm not a morning person. And they also kinda scare me. But when I have something important going on, I get excited. That, and the coffee will make me more energetic than usual. If I don't have a busy and important day ahead of me, I usually sleep in until about ten. Or whenever I wake up. But not today!
Now that I'm in the bathroom, I start off by brushing my crazy morning hair. Yes some mornings it can take a while to tame my stupid hair. But other mornings, it's not so bad at all. I brush it all out and decide to start with it down but I grab two elastics just in case. Once that's done and over with I brush my teeth and proceed with getting ready by letting my dog out now so I don't forget before I leave. The last thing I need is to come home to find her leaving an accident on my floor.
Ever since I was a child, I had always wanted either a Husky or an Australian Sheppard. My Australian Shepherd Amelia, was a birthday gift from Mia two years ago. She knew better than anyone that that was one of the kinds of dogs I wanted. And it just so happened that November two years ago, Mia and her boyfriend's Australian Sheppard had puppies! So that was my birthday gift that year.
8:00 am Mia calls my house like I asked when I sent the email. We talk for an hour and she helps me remember what things are important for an interview, what some questions my interviewer might ask, and helps me think of more skills I have that I can provide if I'm asked. Besides her silly and occasionally immature personality, Mia can have a very professional and serious attitude when it's necessary. She's gonna go so far in life. Before we hang up she gives me a short pep talk and assures me that I'll do great. That's what I love about my best friend. She's amazing! At 9:00 I get off the phone with Mia, whom I call just about everyday, and finish my toast that I had made for myself. For some strange reason, I seem to maybe, kinda, sorta, have a sort of addiction to toast. It's kinda weird. Many mornings for breakfast I enjoy Nutella on freshly toasted bread along with my usual cup of coffee.
Around 9:15 I'm sitting in my electric blue 2018 Dodge Charger. My graduation present from my grandparents on my father's side. They still contact me every now and then. However they hardly ever talk to me about my father. There are a few things they just plain won't tell me. By this point I've already determined that I have everything that I might need. Or think I may need. I know where I'm going thanks to the address and the GPS on my phone. Google maps tells me that the location of my interview is twenty minutes from my home. I left early because I can't stand to be late. Ever. When I arrive, I park my car in an empty and unlabeled spot. Hopefully this slot isn't reserved. Even if it is, hey I mean it's not my fault it isn't clearly labeled.
