4(Dam, Annabeth)

I was gonna do it. I, Perseus Achilles Jackson, was going to propose to the woman of my dreams. Annabeth Chase,the only one for me. I was gonna do it on the beach, our favorite spot, on her birthday.

If only I had known that she would forget our meeting,and instead make serious plans of her own.

Flashback

I walked through camp,towards the beach to meet Annabeth. I was so caught up in my excitement,that I didn't notice the sympathetic looks ,campers were giving me.

I arrive at the spot to see a group of people surrounding something. It was not until I got closer that I realized that something was a someone. Or some ones plural.

Golden blonde curls and shaggy brown locks.

Annabeth and that new kid Matt.

Probably a dual or something, I should get closer.

Closer.

Closer.

Closer!

I almost drop to my knees at the sight I see.

Nico's POV

Styx, Percy's here.

Clarisse's POV

Ooh, Anniebeth's gonna get it.

Percy's POV

It was Annabeth and Matt alright,but they weren't dueling.

They were kissing.

Now, I know what you're thinking, and I wouldn't have believed it either, if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes.

Looking back on it, I shouldn't have been surprised.

Flashback Percy's POV

"Hey Annabeth, wanna come down to the beach with me? I've been dying for a swim."

"Can't. Busy."

"Hey Wise Girl, I was going down to the training arena later, wanna spar?"

"Can't. Busy."

"Hey Annabeth, Chiron says I have to go on a quest that could cost me my life, wish me luck?"

Well, you can guess what she said.

So as the campers started to disperse, I just decided to wait it out. Finally I couldn't take anymore and said something.

"So this is how it ends huh, Annabeth? You find someone new and kick me to the curb like yesterday's trash."

She has the nerve to look guilty.

"Percy, I-"

"You what? Never ment to hurt me? Please, what did you think this would do to me when I found out? Or did you just not intend for me to ever know? That's it isn't it? You would keep him here on the side and continue to drag me along on a string. ANSWER ME- You know what never mind, I don't even want to here your voice."

"And you, scram kid." I said pointing to Matt. He ran like his ass was on fire.

"You know what I'm done, here take this, I don't need it."

I said as I toss her the small black box with the ring in it. That would be the last I saw of her for a long while.
