Nico was extremely frustrated. This was the third time they had been called fags while they were walking through the town and he could tell that Percy was getting upset.

He was expecting Percy to snap and he did, just not in the way he thought.

"I fucking hate gays"

It was some random guy they saw in the grocery store but that didn't stop him from commenting on their relationship.

"You guys are going to hell"

That was when it it happened.

"I can't be here right now"

"Percy wait"

As Nico followed his boyfriend out of the store he heard one last remark.

"Ugh, fags"

When Nico found him, Percy was sitting on the edge of a fountain crying.

"Babe what's wrong? Why did you run out of there like that?"

Percy looked up with swollen red eyes.
"I just- I just hate when people say things like that, why can't they just except us?"

Nico had never known that his boyfriend felt so strongly about this. It only made him seem more sensitive.

"Oh honey, we can't worry about them because the truth is that they might never except us, so we can only be positive and love each other."

"I know it's just that there's only so much a guy can take."

Nico smile at that, as he could see Percy begin to feel better, so he decided to hit the metal while it was red hot.

"Hey, I'm about tired of wandering about, let's go home and bake some blue cookies or something, yeah?"

"Really?"
"Of course"
