Ricardo's POV

"So, how about we hit on some ice cream?" Jade suggested, giving me her puppy eyes, that she knows really well I can't resist.

"Okay. But I'm paying!" I said, and we laughed.

We walked downstairs, and saw my parents at the couch.

"Mom, I'm going out. I'll be back in a few hours!" I said, giving her a kiss on the cheek and hugging my dad.

"Jade, you're amazing. How did you do it?" She asked Jade.

"I don't know!" Jade said, laughing.

I understood that my mom called Jade and asked her to try to help me.

"Thanks, mom. Thanks, dad." I said, and left with Jade.

"So, where do you wanna go?" She asked, as we walked side to side.

"How about Jen and Berry's?" I suggested, knowing it was our favorite ice cream place to go together.

"Only if we share that big sundae again!!" She said, and we both laughed at the memory from last time we went there.

"Oh, you're on!" I said, and we side hugged.

It was a nice walk to Ben and Jerry's, and when we got there we sat at our favorite table.

"Alright, the sundae then?" I asked her, getting my wallet to go to the line and order our ice cream.

"Yes!! You can choose the flavor." She said. I laughed and went to the line.

"Welcome to Jen and Berry's!! What would you like to order?" The man asked me, when it was finally my turn.

"I'd like a Rocky Road sundae, please." I ordered.

"Would you like any topping?" He asked.

"It can be Nutella and M&Ms!" I said.

"Alright! What table are you at?" He asked.

"Table 7. The one where that blonde girl is at." I said, pointing to Jade.

"Oh, ice cream date?" He asked.

"No, we're best friends." I said, laughing. Everybody always ask if Jade and I are dating, it's pretty funny.

"You would make a cute couple, though. Here's your ice cream!" He said, I paid and he gave me the sundae.

"Here you go!!" I said, putting the ice cream in our table and giving Jade her spoon. I swear her eyes shined even more than they already usually do.

"Nutella and M&Ms? You're the best, Rico!" She said, giving me a side hug as soon as I sat beside her.

When we were done, we decided to go to the park. It was pretty nice doing this kind of stuff with Jade, she's pretty funny and a really good friend. I could spend days talking non-stop to her, and wouldn't be bored.

We walked, talked and laughed a lot, until the sun started to go down.

"Wanna watch the sunset?" I asked, knowing she loves it as much as I do.

"Yeah." She said, and we sat down at the big grass alongside some couples and families.

"Thanks for today, Jadey. I can't imagine life without you. You're the best friend I've ever had and ever will, and I couldn't ask for a better day." I said, looking at her and meaning every single world.

"Same here. I could never imagine how life would be if we haven't met. I love you more than words could ever describe, and I'll never have a best friend like you." She said, smiling. I put my arms around her, and she rested her head on my shoulder.

It was perfect.

I feel like a potato bag. I'm not doing anything productive these past few days, I feel useless 😂 because of the removing of my wisdom teeth, I have to stay quiet all day, I can't even play with my dog...
