Clean Slate

Every painter wants to draw on a clean canvas. Every person wants to leave a mark in a blank space, a place not smeared with the world's troubles.

I, want to leave many marks in a clean slate.

I don't want to be the one being marked upon. I want to be the one to be remembered, hated, or loved.

I don't want a man who knows the world; its wonders and its dirt down under.

I want a man who does not know love, hurt, or even passion.

I want a man who can taste the world with me.

I want a man who sees everything with new eyes.

I don't want my man to see me with dirty, prejudiced eyes.

I can never look at a man who I know has branded me the first time.

I cannot love a man who will tell me what to do or what to say.

I want a man who will stare at me while I go crazy and dance with frenzy.

A man who can still laugh even if I do something wrong or say something foul.

Because he keeps an open mind and knows I have my own mind.

So if you cannot clean your judgements and your preconceived notions, I beg you to leave.

I want my clean slate; I don't want your hate.
