The PAST

The Twilight was upon them and the once gazette streets was now reduced to ashes. The palace lay in ruins, the colorful markets and streets were merely a pile of ash. The chariots broken, the horses baely neighing, the warriors all slain and he hacked brutally to pieces.

”Oh! For all his pride and vanity should the Kingdom pay? Should the gods be so unfair as to punish the simpletons of this once great a kingdom, when the reason for this mayhem was the arrogant scum who prided himself to be the most powerful ruler? That in his arrogance he challenged the supreme and invited trouble for himself, that in his chauvinism he had tried to destroy a lady who was so powerful and so pious that her one curse vanquished this entire kingdom, that not a single one could carry forward this grand legacy ? No, this cannot happen, I cannot let this happen. This is my mother land; I cannot let it down when I still know what to do.”

With these thoughts he pulled out the silver dagger from his chest and cupped his hands against his bosom to collect the flow of blood. He muttered a few incantations and put the holy basil leaf into it. The effect was instantaneous and the red blood began to glow white and take a silvery waspish form. He spoke to it in these words,” Guard these lands till the time for the goddess to take birth comes. Once you know that the time has come, embed yourself into her mother’s womb. Lead the Lady to her destiny and redeem the lost glory of my nation.” So saying he died.

As thought the flame understood this it gave a golden spark before leaving a jet black streak of contours along the borders of the kingdom and then positioned itself among the stars only that it remained invisible to all the unassuming star gazers.
