"Your what now??" Ben said loud enough for Harry to hear him through the door.
"my-"
"I KNOW WHAT YOU SAID!"
"alright alright calm down just let me explain." Mal said guilty.
She continued talking. "Back on the isle I had a boyfriend.. well Harry. And we dated for years!"
"Wait I thought this was your first time? You said you didn't know what love felt like." Ben said flushed.
"Well it's not like dating dating, just spending all your time together and you know hugs and kisses." Mal said giggling a bit. Ben gave her a look. "Okay I guess dating!!"
Ben was angry and confused. "So if you're not together what's the problem then?"
"We may have never broke up?" Mal was embarrassed. But not like red faced embarrassed. Her eyes were now a soft green glow. Ben saw fear, hate, embarrassment, and love in her golden flecked eyes.
"So you're dating me and Harry?"
"Umm actually exactly."
"May I come in now?" Harry said bored.
"I guess." Mal answered.
"Okay Mal look, whatever you need to talk about, you may. I have a council meeting anyway so you guys figure it out." Ben walked out, a bit hurt but confident in his love.
Harry and Mal stared at each other. You could feel the tension but feel the old love burning a fire in between them. Harry couldn't take the silence. "I'm sorry Mal but you made a terrible choice."
"A terrible choice? Really. Turning around to find a new healthy life is a terrible thing? Well then tell me what's good." Mal said tears filling her eyes.
"Why'd you go without telling me? That's all I need to know and i'll leave you alone." Mal didn't know this but Harry was lying. He was here to win a heart. And Harry won't go until he wins.
"My life was terrible, painful, and made me miserable. I'm happier than ever with Ben and the VK's. And nothing could change that."
"What about a peace offering? I made your favorite.. strawberry jam."
"How did you know that was my favorite?" Mal asked confused and suspicious.
"I have my ways. Just take it!"
He shoved it into Mal's mouth. Right then, Mal knew something was off. He gazed into her eyes as they turned glowing red, then purple, then a bright green. She felt overwhelmed with feelings and turned around. She started to feel butterflies in her stomach and finally she looked at Harry.
"Harry?"
"Yes my love? Are you ready to go back to the isle??"
"I've always been."
