Chapter 14: couples

Mal and Ben were called downstairs.

"Hey..." Evie said really nervous.

"Ugh what do you want now." Mal rolled her eyes.

"Umm so did you know that me and Jay are together?" Evie smiled.

"Wow. Me and Ben are clearly a better couple though." Mal said grabbing Ben's arm.

"Yeah we are meant to be together." He said giving her a kiss.

Evie and Jay had a plan. Then didn't tell Carlos because he isn't involved in the plan.

"Mal, Ben, Evie, why don't we go on a double date??!" Jay said going on with the plan.

"Uhh I don't care." Mal said walking away. "I guess we'll go get ready."

Mal came down wearing a sweatshirt and ripped jeans, while Ben was wearing a buttoned shirt with some nice pants.

"You guys look good! So let's go!" Evie said rushing them out the door.

They got to the restaurant and sat down. After ordering the appetizers came out. "Hey Ben, think I can get this bread roll to hit Audrey and Chad over there?" Mal said giving him a mischievous look.

"Go for it." He said back laughing.

Evie and Jay didn't notice until Audrey stormed over to their table.

"WHO THREW THIS?" She said clearly angry. She knew about Mal and then realized what had happened. "Uhh I mean, who cares? Enjoy your dinner!" She nervously started to walk away until Mal ran up to her and grabbed her arm. "Audrey. Why don't you join us for dinner?" She said obviously just to scare her. "IM OKAY!! GOTTA GO!" Then the couple left.

"Hahahaha that was to funny!!" Mal and Ben were laughing hysterically.

"Jay, we have to teach them how they used to act together on dates!! Just follow my lead." Evie commanded.

"MAL!! On dates actually your supposed to do this with your food." Evie said as she dipped it in butter and fed it to Jay.

"Oh um let me try." She grabbed bread, dipped it in butter, and fed Ben. For the first time since they turned evil, everyone saw a bit of softness in Mal and Ben's eyes. They stared at each other and Ben interrupted the moment.

"Let me try." He did the same. When he fed her, the tension calmed down. But Mal had butter on her lips. "You got a little something. Let me help you." He leaned in and gave her a kiss, taking the butter off. Right then Mal started screaming.

"HELP PLEASE HELP ME!!" Mal was screaming like bloody murder. Her eyes glowed green and she screamed.

"MAL WHAT HAPPENED WHATS WRONG?!!?"

"HELP ME BEN HELP ME GET ME OUT" She was yelling, kicking, and crying. No one knew what to do. Everyone got from their tables and rushed over.

"SOMEONE PLEASE GET HELP!"

Ben started whispering in her ear and they got fairy godmother. She got there and saw Mal.

"HONEY WHATS WRONG?!?"

"HELP ME PLEASE HELP!! GET ME OUT!!"

"Get you out of where?"

"JUST GET ME OUT." finally Mal passed out on the floor.

"Somebody get an ambulance!!! NOW!!" Ben screamed.

Finally a stretcher came into the restaurant and they put Mal on it. Once at the hospital, they noticed her whole body was glowing and she was screaming in her sleep.

"WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE QUEEN I️ NEED AN EXPLANATION!!!"

"We aren't sure yet but we will try our hardest."

Then the screaming stopped. They rushed into the room and saw Mal. She was holding her stomach and they lifted her shirt, Ben's hand trembling. "What- what- what's that?"

Everyone looked. Across her stomach was a giant cut that wasn't there before. It wasn't bleeding red blood. It was bleeding purple. Ben touched it and screamed as his hand got burned. "WHAT THE HELL MY HAND IS RED. IS THAT A POISON?"

"I️ was afraid of this happening... her magic; it's draining. And without her magic-"

"Mal is no one."

"Not just that. If Mal is no one without her magic. She'll leave us all. Forever."
