"Son, don't say that. Let's go see him." The doctor said, pulling Jungkook out of his chair.

Jungkook could almost see his heart, broken and in pieces, scattered on his chair, and the floor of the room.

As the doctor walked with Jungkook to Jimin's room, across the hospital wing, people stared at Jungkook, who was still sobbing uncontrollably into his palms.

People wondered what horrible thing this young boy was going through.

Jungkook didn't even want to face Jimin.

He didn't want to tell him that he was going to die, all because of Jungkook's inability to save him.

When they arrived outside Jimin's room, the doctor looked at Jungkook.

"Take a few deep breaths."

Jungkook tried to do as he was told, but failed miserably, and stuffed his face into his hands again.

"Son, look at me. He needs you," The doctor pointed to the closed hospital room door. "He needs you to be strong. Be strong, for your boyfriend."

Jungkook thought hard about the doctor's words, and composed himself.

"Alright, let's go."

The doctor opened the door painfully slowly, and Jungkook trailed behind him.

Jimin sat up in his bed, eager to see Jungkook with the happiest news, like he had promised earlier.

But when Jimin saw Jungkook's swollen eyes and red cheeks, he knew he wasn't about to hear anything pleasing.

Jimin's eyes filled with tears as he locked gazes with Jungkook.

Jungkook looked down at the floor when his eyes met Jimin's. He couldn't look at him. It would just make him cry again.

"Mr. Park, we have the lab results, and-"

"May I, tell him?" Jungkook asked.

"Yes, if you wish," The doctor said.

Jungkook nodded, and the doctor placed a hand on Jungkook's back before leaving the room.

Jungkook slowly walked over to Jimin, who pretended to be busy inspecting his fingers.

"Jiminie, I'm sorry,"

"Stop. It's not your fault, Jungkook. Thank you for offering your kidney, it means a lot to me that you even offered."

"I know, but it wasn't a match, and-"

"Stop, Jungkook!" Jimin shouted, startling Jungkook. "Stop thinking that you.. you disappoint me, or something! You don't, okay? I love you with all my heart and soul, and everything you do for me is so enough, you have no idea. Jeon Jungkook, I may die soon, but just know, that you were the first and last person I ever fell in love with."

Jungkook didn't have words. He just stared into Jimin's eyes, shocked in the best way at his words.

"And Jungkook, you know, days went by that I thought about creating a family with you! Hell, we would've made two amazing fathers." Jimin said these words with tears running down his face. Not with sadness, no, with happiness.

Jungkook looked at Jimin. Really looked at him. With IVs attached to his arms, machines beeping around his bed, and Jungkook realized, that this was the man that he fell deeply in love with, too.

Jungkook didn't have words, but he did have actions.

He leaned closer to Jimin and lightly kissed his lips.

He felt Jimin smile as he pressed his lips against his.

Jungkook placed his hands around Jimin's neck, and ran his fingers through his hair.

He would miss this so much.

But he didn't care.

From now on, he would live in the moment.

Not dwelling on the past, or worrying about the future. He would live in the now, and love every minute of it.

But something brought Jungkook out of LaLa land.

The thought of himself living life without the person he loved most.

Soon, Jimin would be dead.

Harsh words, but true ones.

A small tear made its way through Jungkook's closed eyelids, and ran down his cheek.

Jungkook quickly wiped it away, not wanting Jimin to see his pain, but Jimin caught it.

Jimin took Jungkook's hand in his, the hand that was just used to wipe away a tear.

Jimin lightly kissed Jungkook's knuckles, then looked up to meet Jungkook's eyes.

"It's okay to cry," He whispered.

Jungkook smiled.

"I know."
