Aana's Party

***Onyx's pov!!!***

It is January 2nd 2018. I missed new years, but I didn't miss my 2 love's birthdays. I'm on the party planning quickly after showering and getting dressed appropriately.

I finish up the last of her party details and use my new speed to decorate the one and only arcade that rests on the first floor. I cover the enormous room ceiling in rainbow streamers and set up storebought games. Its awesome not having a budget because I can hire temporary maids to help set up and send some on errand runs. Its like multiple, really efficient me's everywhere.

Finally the games are all plugged in and operating fine. The games do run on unique tokens that I'm assuming Alex had custom made because they all have Aana's cute little face on them. The coins are slightly dull but mostly shine silver. I sent 4 assistants to empty the coins from all the machines and add them to the 10 gallon bucket full of coins that I found in the closet behind the counter of the arcade. Yes, he has a full counter so kids could buy prizes with cash or tickets. He basically has a Chuckee Cheese in his house, but this is called Aana's Arcade Arena. Oh it's much bigger then an actual arcade by the way, and I guarantee it has more games and better prizes too.

The temporary chefs were hard at work all day preparing foods for kids and parents to enjoy. They hand made and cooked everything; potato chips, fries, cupcakes, cake pops, rice krispies, burgers, pizzas, sweet tea, lemonade, sprite, cola, root beer, fudge, cookies, hot dogs, fruit kabobs, mini pancakes, chicken nuggets, popcorn shrimp, butterfly shrimp, slushies, and chicken tenders.

I also rented and ice cream stand/bar thing and put it with the rest of the food in the room right next to the arcade. It was empty, so I had it neatly decorated with streamers and balloons and chairs and long tables.

By the time everything was plated, set up, decorated, and turned on, it was 1:37. People would be coming soon. I made sure all the plates that were holding warm foods, were on and all cold plates holding cool foods were on, keeping everything seperate because allergies for kids are serious.

*30 minutes later*

"Hi, I'm Onyx, Alex's fiancé. Eve, would please escort Ms. Woods to the arcade room, thanks. Oh! Jen, babe, could you take over and let people in. Here's the list. If they're not on it, turn them away and if they have a problem with it, you just send them to me and I'll handle it. Thank you so much. I'm gonna go meet all the guests now."

I had already let in 9 supposedly single moms, 3 gay single dads, and 2 couples. 16 kids in total so far. We're expecting a couple more moms and couples and about 14 more kids.

The kids were already playing games and grabbing cupfuls of coins. Zoe gave each kid a styrafoam cup to put their coins in so they don't run back and forth and refills the cups for them when they get back.

"Where in the hell are you?" I mentally scream.

Cool arms wrapped around my waist and a small kiss was planted on my neck. "Right here, princess." his soothing voice echoed in my head and I smiled.

5 moms in a serious conversation point over at us and frown. One whispers something to the others and they all burst into a fit of laughter. A feeling of shame and not being good enough washed over me along with feeling that I'm being suffocated, causing me to shake my body free of Alex's grip and run to the nearest bathroom.

I looked deep into my reflection and felt the hot tears prick my eyes, but before they could fall several knocks bounced around the tiled room.

I quickly wiped my eyes, "This room is occupied." I murmer

"Baby, let me in."

"No, I'm bleeding."

"No you're not. Vampires can't do that. In any way."

The last part was whispered directly into my head.

Rats, foiled again.

I walked over and unlocked the door.

"What was that about? Why would you feel ashamed?" he questioned, closing the door then turning to hold me.

"Those women. They're pretty and experienced and they gawk at you and hit on you and flirt with-"

"But they are still lacking something HUGE, when it comes to-"

"Like what?" I whisper-scream, interrupting him.

"The ability to be you! You are everything I will ever need in a woman. In anyone. I love you more than you can possibly understand. I've never met someone who accepted me for who I really am. You're the only person who made me feel safe enough to tell my secret to. You're the only person in this entire universe that makes me feel as safe and happy and excited as you. And I can't imagine what my life would be without you as my sun, the light of my life, and the keeper and owner of my heart forever."

My rests on his chest as his words were slowly sucked into my bloodstream, making my whole icy body, oddly warm. I love you.

"I love you." we say at the day time but mine is in his head and his was whispered onto my neck.
