(3rd POV)
It was another day, the same routine Y/N did everyday of her life. Get up, dress, eat, train, study, train again then sleep, it was getting more and more boring as she got older and as she progressed through the past few years. Y/N thought she was neglected as a child, she was trained hard and had to study hard with nothing to look up to. She lived in the heart of the forest with her two strong and smart guards, she never understood why she had these to as her guards, was she special? Did she have something no-one else had? Anyway, one was male and the other female. The female was named Rin Takayo whilst the male was named Kai Harusa, they were like older siblings to Y/N and protected her with their lives. Rin taught Y/N different types of jutsus and genjutsus followed with hand-to-hand combat and so on, at times Rin also taught Y/N some things other than fighting but it was mostly Kai who would teach Y/N everything he knew.
At times, when she was lucky, Y/N would be able to learn more about who she really was, normally after working as hard as she can and study harder than usual. As the years flew by, Y/N just recently turned 13 years old, the ninja grew up to be a young, smart, strong and beautiful girl, Rin and Kai felt so proud that they cried quite embarrassingly in front of Y/N. The time passed by and it finally hit 9 o' clock, it was a peaceful night, nothing to disturb them. That's what they thought. Y/N eyes just started to close slowly, almost drifting off to a quiet slumber. Then there was a sudden...
CRASH!
(Y/N's POV)
Just as I was about to go to sleep, I heard a sudden.
CRASH!
After the sudden noise, I jolted up from my bed into a sitting position on the side of my bed. It was weird, the both of them would already be asleep by now, they'd normally sleep before me anyway so I found it weird. Out of curiosity, I stood up and quickly changed into my training clothes (pic above) and grabbed my cloak, hooking it over my arm. I then rushed out of my room discretely while calling their names, "Rin! Kai! Are you okay? Did something happen?" I whispered loud enough to be heard. "Ughhh... Y/N?" a female voice replied, I gasped and started to walk towards the place to where the voice came from. There I saw a beaten Rin, blood on her arms, legs and head, "What happened?! Where is Kai?!" I exclaimed tearing up a bit.
"Uh... *sigh* We were attacked by two elite assassins, we thought we could handle it... One was defeated by Kai, the other was beaten up quite badly so we thought he would die of blood loss. But we were wrong... the assassin tried to get me and I couldn't do anything, instead Kai went in front of me stabbing the assassin with one of his kunais... Kai saved me, h-he died for me..." Rin replied sobbing quietly, I quickly hugged her tightly and wiped her tears away, "Why did they come after us?" I later asked, "They wanted you Y/N, I haven't told you this before but you deserve to know, you were the princess of our empire. Princess Y/N L/N of the Light Empire. The Empire was destroyed by a very strong army led by another Empire, they wanted you. They wanted you because you hold a special type of power that nobody else holds, a power that could destroy anything if you controlled it. Listen... I was beaten up quite badly, I was stabbed with incurable poison. You can't save me, there will be no point... take this map. It will show you the way to another village to live in." Rin said whilst tears ran down her face.
"N-no... I can't leave you here. We can go together right?!... R-right?" I cried looking down at my lap, I felt a cold hand hold my face up as I cried harshly. "It'll be too late anyway if you tried, go without me. But please, lay me down next to Kai in the corridor, that's my last request," Rin painfully said, I gulped and nodded as I lifted her up bridal style to Kai. "Haha... I guess I trained you well, you're able to carry an adult like this," Rin laughed quietly, I laughed lightly in response but my heart still hurt. Moments later, there I saw Kai on the floor with a pool of blood surrounding him with his eyes closed and blood running down his abdomen and mouth. I felt like being sick but I laid Rin next to him anyways as her final request from me. "Please Y/N, live on..." Rin said as she a close-eyed smile one last time and fell unconscious.
Tears cascaded my face like waterfalls as I walked away praying for them as I jumped from tree to tree following the path down to the village. (Btw Italics stand for thoughts, oki that's all for now!)
Hopefully I can start a new life there, I might even be able to make some friends there! It seems exciting and all, but I feel like going back to Rin and Kai, I just feel so guilty for not being to help the. They taught me, laughed with me and loved me as if I was part of their family... I feel terrible...
Guess I've got an adventure ahead of me...
