Chapter Eighteen: The Proposal

"Will you marry me, My love?" Zachary asked.

"Yes Zach, Yes, I am Willing to marry you." I smiled as he pushed the engagement ring in my ring finger.

"Yepieeeee! Huhu! Our little child has grown up!" Bea faked cry while squealing.

Then Zach kissed it, " Do you know why I put the ring in your ring finger near the pinky?" He asked.

"No? Why?" I asked him curiously.

"Because, Engagement rings are often worn on the fourth finger of the left hand because the ancient Greeks maintained that that finger contains the vena amoris, or the “vein of love,” that runs straight to the heart. The first recorded wedding rings appear in ancient Egypt, with the circle representing eternity as well as powerful sun and moon deities." He smirked at my reaction.

"Nakakanosebleed naman, baby, Minemorize mo talaga?" I smiled as I said his nickname.

"Of course!" He smiled then kissed my cheek. " Para sa iyo." He added.

"Zach, paano to? Baka patayin tayo ni Nicholas." I sighed.

He sighed as well, " Maiintindihan rin niya. Hindi masamang tao si Nicholas.  At kung mahal ka niya, hindi ka niya sasaktan"

"I feel sad and mad at myself, for hurting him" I said, with a heavy and tired tone.

"Why don't you feel sad for cheating on me?"

"Sorry as well." I looked at my feet.

"Don't worry Max, I am gonna make you my Queen and the queen of all vampires."

What? Queen? What does he mean?

"What do you mean, Zach?" I asked.

"I am soon-to-be king of vampires and you will become my queen. Are you willing to accept me, Max?" He asked.

"Yes. No matter what you are. You are my life. I love you." I whispered.

"I love you too." He whispered.

I turned around as  I saw Zachary, naked beside me.

Yes, something happened between us last night.

I wrapped my arms around him, I gave myself to him. And I was sure that it wasn't a mistake. After all, I love him.

"Max..." he called.

"Yes, baby?" I raised a brow at my love.

"What happened to the side of your stomach?" He asked.

"Uhmmm... This is because of a little kid I met when I was 6 years, he was 9 years that time then I cried because he was leaving. Then he said he, I  will still see him tomorrow then I came back and didn't see him, so I ran finding for him then I slip then made this scar here." I whispered.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry I didn't come back." He whispered back.

Wait what?

"What?" I whispered.

"You don't remember me?" He asked.

"You were that guy? The guy I dreamt? Oh damn, I missed you!" I cried,

"Oh really? I missed you too. But I never stopped looking after you." He whispered.

I felt tears falling down."I love you, Zach."

"I love you too, My queen, I promise, I'll never ever leave you again." He whispered.
