The rest of the day was spent walking around Metal City, Mari wanting to go into all the shops and see everything there was to see.  The only thing that we hadn't done yet-- surprisingly--was get into a battle.  Mari said she wanted to wait until we got to a bey park to do that,

We entered yet another shop, Mari immediately picking up a Pegasus plushie and shoving it into my face.

"Oh my gosh, isn't it so cute!?"  She squealed, before noticing an aisle of beyblade parts.  Her eyes turned starry and she dropped the plushie where it was before sprinting over to the aisle.  I pretended to look at some T-shirts while people stared at Mari like she was crazy.  I don't know her, I don't know her...

I suddenly got the chills and I yelled at Mari that I would go walk by myself, to which I got a thumbs up.  I sighed and went outside.  I walked until I reached the BeyPark, where many people were practicing with their beyblades.  I scanned over them without much interest.  How was I not going to make a fool out of myself if I couldn't find a good teacher?  I wanted to impress Kyoya.  I groaned and started walking away.

"Wait!" A voice said.  I stopped and turned around to see Hyoma.  He ran up to me, breathless.  "Do you... wanna have...a battle?"  He said, in between breaths.

"Sure," I said, since I didn't know what my true capabilities were quite yet.  "Why not?"

"My name's Hyoma," he said on the way over to the bey stadium.  I know.

     "Aiyana," I said.

Hyoma and I stood at opposite ends of a stadium, standing with our beys at the ready.  I felt a surge of excitement rip through my body, and tense, almost like a lion stalking his kill.  I narrowed my eyes at Hyoma and began the countdown.

     "Three!"  I shout.

     "Two!"  He shouts.

"One!  Let it...RIP!" We both shout.  Hyoma's Rock Aries went directly to the center of the stadium, while Dark Leone spun out of control, much like Gingka's Galaxy Pegasus when he first got it.  I screamed as Dark Leone's spirit came out and ran towards me.  Suddenly, the wind was knocked out of me and I went flying backwards, eventually hitting the ground and laying there, unable to breath.

"Aiyana!" Hyoma shouted, running over to me.  I groaned and sat up, feeling really embarrassed.  He held his hand out.

"Sorry about that,"  I said, letting him help me up.  I dusted myself off while looking at Dark Leone.

"What happened?  It was like you had no control whatsoever," Hyoma said.

I rubbed the back of my neck with my free hand, "Yeah, well you see... I've never actually used Dark Leone for anything.  That was my first attempt at a battle, too."

     "Really?" Hyoma said, shocked.

"Yep," I said, "and what's worse is that I have a battle with Kyoya tomorrow."

"..." Hyoma deadpanned, "You've gotta be kidding me."

"Nope," I said, shaking my head.

"What are you thinking!?  He's gonna murder you out there!" Hyoma said, starting to freak out.

"Well it really wasn't my choice," I said, "it has something to do with the fact that I have a Leone."

"Oh my God," Hyoma says, pacing back and forth.

"Why are you freaking out anyways?"  I asked, stopping him.

"Because you leave me with no choice but to teach you how to beyblade," he says, smiling.

"I could use that," I said, smiling back.

*timeskip*

We spent the whole day and night training, and by sunrise I showed promise of being able to hold my own against Kyoya.  I had dark circles under my eyes from staying awake all night, but whatever.  All that mattered was that I didn't make a fool of myself, right?

"Do one more set of barrels and then you can go get some sleep.  But be back here by three.  You'll need a little extra practice," Hyoma said.

I nodded at him and launched Dark Leone at the line of steel oil drums in front of me.  I willed him to weave through them first and then knock them out of the way on the way back.  I caught Dark Leone and bid my farewell to Hyoma before making my way to the B-Pit.  Madoka was inside the shop part of the Pit.  I let myself in, waving to her.

"Hey, have you seen Mari?" I asked.

Madoka nodded, "She's downstairs with the others."

"Great, thanks," I said, walking down said stairs.

"Oh, hey, she lives," Mari said when I got downstairs.  I stuck my tongue out at her.

"Aya's back!" Yu said, running up to me and hugging my legs together.

"So, you ready for your battle with Kyoya, Aiyana?" Kenta asked.

     "I hope so," I said.

"Kyoya's gonna kick your butt!" Benkei shouted, pointing right at me.

"Ben-ben!  That's not very nice!" Yu said.

I ruffled the top of Yu's head, "It's alright, halfling.  He's right."

     "Aya..." Yu trailed off.

"I've still got to try though,"  I said, "even if I get slaughtered out there."

Alright.  I think that's where I'll cut it off.  I have had multiple writer's block through this part.  But I guess this is a great time to ask you what you want to see happen.  I know the battle between Kyoya and Aiyana must happen, but what else?  I want this story to be a fan's dream.  So just type a little something in the comments about what you want to happen.  Any ideas at all, I'm open.
