They met at the school canteen during break like they had agreed and Abi and KC soon realized that they had much more in common than they had both anticipated. That day, they went to the mall as decided. It was a very exciting trip since both girls loved shopping very much. They started at the clothing shops: taking whatever nice clothing item they lay their eyes on until they were both so exhausted and they had to have something to eat. They went to a café nearby.

"Soooo tell me...who is Miss Kendra Cruz huh? I mean, I just realized that I went off with a stranger I met at school that could be a psychopath for all I know."

"Hmmm I could be an axe murderer trying to get to you under coercive circumstances you know."

"Nah I doubt...Maybe a serial killer but definitely not an axe murderer."

"What's the difference dummy...?" Kendra asked laughing lightly.

"There's a big difference dum dum...Now spill the beans."

"There are no beans to spill but yes, let me tell you a little about me. I'm 16 and in eleventh grade at Malibu high. I'm from here; I live with both my parents and my big brother. I'm a shopping and party freak so be prepared to break it down real big. I'm also into dancing, mostly hip hop street dancing. That's it.... I think?"

"Nope...You left out the juiciest part"

"Uhmm....which is?"

"Who-is-heeee?"

"Relationship? I'm single for over a year now. My ex was a jerk and I just couldn't find anyone I liked or trusted to that extend."

"He's a jerk indeed...How can he leave such awesomeness?"

"Such awesomeness left him. He cheated on me...with a prostitute and the b*tch fell pregnant."

"Ouch...what the heck? That's so fucked up? Why didn't you call me so I cut off his balls and feed them to his b*tch?"

"Tell me about it...I didn't know you by then dummy and that's too savage you know"

"Oh yeah, there's that. Lucky bastards"

"Now it's your turn"

"To do what?"

"Spill it... come on, you can tell me dearie" KC tried imitating an old lady's voice as she said this.

"Whoa, whoa. Hold up, your voice will make me throw up. I'll talk, just, please don't try that again...ever." Both girls laughed out loud when Abi said this before she continued "Okay, I'm ready now. I'm 17 years old. Also in 11th grade. I live with my mom and twin brother. We moved here because mom was transferred here since the company she works for was expanded. She is the head chef at Tim's restaurant. My dad died 3 years ago... he was a detective and was involved in some kind of a shootout. I was very close to him and we were almost inseparable. I was in a two year relationship but ended it when mom told me we were moving here permanently."

"I'm so sorry for your loss."

"No it's okay, I like to think that he is in a better place now and at least he died the hero he had always been." Abigail gave a small smile and bit her lower lip as she tried hard to fight the tears that were starting to well up in her eyes. She quickly tried blinking the tears away before KC could see them. KC stood up, went over to her and hugged her tightly while squeezing her shoulders when she saw a tear escape from her eye. This made Abigail to let go of all she was bottling up. She cried for about a minute before finally wiping her tears away and saying: "Kendra, it's so hard, I tried acting like I'm over it all but I just can't accept that he's really gone...I can never get over the fact that he is gone forever and will never come back. I look at his pictures every day and it's like he is smiling right at me. He was a happy person;always smiling and laughing like he had no care in the world whatsoever. I wish he was here, he would always hug me and make me feel like nothing could ever harm me, but now I feel so vulnerable and exposed without him. He was more than just my father...He was my best friend and there is no single day that I don't miss him"
