Chapter One

(Aiden)

Today was like any other day; Aiden forced himself out of his bed, even though he would rather just stay there. He went over to his dresser and got a shirt; since he only slept in his boxers. Aiden's mom, Claire was in the kitchen making pancakes and bacon.

"Good morning honey, did you sleep well?" Claire piped.

"Eh, as good as every other day."

Aiden walked to the bathroom, and looked at himself in the mirror. He then looked away quickly, disgusted at his appearance. He closed the bathroom door, and began to undress. Aiden wasn't bad looking, he was about 6 foot, muscular, brown shaggy-kind-of-hair, with brown eyes. The girls at his school adored him, the boys envied him.

Aiden walked over to the tub, and turned it on. He slowly moved his naked body into the familiar environment. This is where Aiden thought, most days he'd spend hours in there just thinking about things that would never happen. Today was different, he had to go out do some errands for his mom, so he couldn't take too long.

Aiden finished up in the shower, and got out. Calmed by the warm oasis, he hoped that today would be better, but he knew that was too much to ask for. He rubbed his rugged chin, and sighed. He hated looking in mirrors, he hated the sight of his face.

Claire knocked on the door, "you okay sweetie?"

"Peachie."

"Well, breakfast is done.."

The sweet aroma of homemade pancakes and bacon, with honey maple syrup filled the house. If it was any other day Aiden would have brushed it off, and went without breakfast, but today he wanted to make a different routine, or maybe it was because Claire made his favorite meal..

"When you're done the list of errands is on the island."

Aiden nodded his head, as he took another bite out of his freshly baked pancake. He was trying to hurry up so he can get the errands done and over with. As much as Aiden loved being outside, he also hated it. Everyone staring at his godly body.

Despite the love hate relationship with the outdoors, Aiden decided to go on with his moms errands. First stop: the local grocery store. Since Aiden couldn't drive yet, he would have to walk, but he knew that it would mean the world for him to do it for him mom since she was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis).

Aiden has always been a momma's boy. Growing up he didn't have much of a father figure. Aidens dad left shortly after Claire got diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. At the time, Aiden was only 3, and didn't think anything of his father leaving. He was always in and out, Aiden just thought he'd be back....but he wasn't

To this day, Claire very rarely talks about Aiden's dad. So Aiden doesn't know much, he doesn't pressure his mom into talking. Aiden assumes that whenever his mom is ready, she'll tell him about his dad, and maybe he'll get to meet him.

Aiden chuckles to himself, "yeah right."
