Link carefully crept around the boulder. Having been nearly killed by Bokoblins multiple times before, he knew to be cautious. He thought he heard eerily human cries, but dismissed it as his imagination. He readied his bow, notched and arrow, and crept out from behind the boulder. He was treated to the sight of the Bokoblins holding a pole with a tied-up human on it, about to be roasted and eaten. THWACK!!! He sent an arrow into the leader's head, then paraglided down and made quick work of the rest. He then turned to the bound human, who was lying on the ground, still crying for help. He bent down and removed the ropes, blindfold and gag. She instantly curled herself up into a ball, sobbing. She looked about 20, with messy brown hair, green eyes and a tattered dress. Link wondered how she had got here. " Don't worry, i'm not gonna hurt you" he said. " By the way, how'd you get here?" She hesitantly poked her head up and looked at him "L-last thing I remember, a giant purple cloud flew at me, and the next thing I know, I'm here." She replied, slowly getting up. "B-by the way, what's your name? Mine's Xyvren. Thank you so much. If you hadn't come, I would have been dead." "Link's my name" Link replied, thinking. Calamity Ganon. Why would he target her? "C'mon" he said, mentioning for her to follow. He felt a responsibility to keep her safe, and something else he couldn't quite put his finger on. She got up, stumbled, then fell down again with a pained cry. "Uuuughhh... I don't think I can walk on my leg" she said, clutching her leg, which Link now saw was injured. Link picked her up, putting an arm around her for support. "Thanks." Xyvren said, blushing slightly. They then staggered back to camp, where they settled down, getting ready for the coming night. "Try this. It'll make you feel better" Link said, handing to her a piece of meat just cooked over the fire. She took a bite out of it, smiling. "Thank you. By the way, where'd you get this?" She asked, curious. "From the Bokoblins I killed" Link replied. Xyvren immediately looked down at her hands, horrified. "I'm kidding! Relax! It's from a wild boar" Link said, smiling. Xyvren batted him on the arm, then yawned. She laid down, landing on Link's lap. "Hey, wait a sec!" He said, but it was too late. She had fell asleep, rendering Link unable to get up. He tried to push her off, but eventually gave up and fell asleep. His dreams were pleasant that night, unlike all the other nights.
