The Cafeteria Drama

I was a little shocked when the girl just suddenly ran away from me. I didn't get to apologize and get her name. Maybe I'll see her again soon, I need to apologize to her too.

I continue walking down the hallway and after a few more turns, I finally found the room for my first subject. I knocked on the door and a second later a woman, which I guess is the teacher, open the door.

"Yes, what can I help you with?" She asked politely. I cleared my throat and told her that I'm the new student. She nods her head and let me in. She called the attention of the students.

"OK students, we have a transferee. Ms. Cassidy please introduce yourself to your classmates." She said and I oblige, "Hello I'm Luna Cassidy, 18 and I like foods. That's all." I said and the teacher, Ms. Adams, told me to sit wherever I want and I chose the sit in the middle part of the room.

As soon as I sat in my chair a girl with brown hair and brown eyes started talking to me.

"Hi Im Alexa." She said and extend her hand for a handshake. I accepted her hand and smiled at her, she smiled back and I can feel that we will be good friends. She resumed on solving the math problems on her notes while still occasionally chat-whispering with me.

I learned that we have all classes together so we decided to stick together and she also told me that she will introduce me to her other friend/best friend.

After a few more agonizing hours in class, it's finally LUNCHTIME!!! I can say that Alexa has been waiting for it since second subject. She keeps on telling me that she is hungry while snucking a bite on her granola bar. She and I make our way to the school cafeteria and I look for our seats while Alexa head to the counter to buy our food. I choose the seat near the window on the slightly far back side of the cafeteria. I plop down the seat and wait for Alexa to get our food.

I look around the cafeteria and notice the typical group that every high school has. There's the popular table which consists of the jocks and the cheerleaders, the geek group with nerdy teens whose face are always burrowed deep in the pages of some books, the Science freaks which are arguing about some sort of chemical reaction thingy and some gravitational stuff that only them could ever understand, and lastly, the highschool musical that are now debating whether to make a cover or do a parody of some famous songs. And of course there's the 'normal' table. The table which I am sitting now.

I look around some more and that's when I see Ms. gorgeous green eyes entering the cafeteria the same time Alexa sat beside me with our food and she saw me looking at Ms. Green eyes. Hey I don't know her name okay.

"Hey you know her? She asks and I shake my head no and said, "I'm new here Alexa, how was I suppose to know her?" She pouted her lips and then ask me why I was staring at her. I told her about my 'hallway encounter' with Ms. Green eyes.

"....that's what happened and then Ms.green eyes just suddenly ran away from me and—"

"Wait, who is Ms.green eyes?" She asks cutting me off my story. I told her who Ms. Green eyes is and she laughed at me.

"You mean Dallas?" She said and I shrugged my shoulder. So Dallas is her name huh. 'Yeah that's her name, whatcha gon' do 'bout that?' my annoying inner self tease me.

Alexa spoke again and said that Dallas is the most popular kid in school, more popular than the jocks and queen bees aka cheerleaders.

"Dallas is the nicest person you would ever meet! She once help me and Louize you know. She and I were transfer students too. We are half Asian, Filipinos to be exact, and we were bullied because of it. Dallas saw us one day while we were being harassed by a bunch of snotty cheerleaders and a few jocks, she stopped them and consulted the bullying to the principal and the bullying stopped ever since then. Their family own this school so whatever she says goes, but its a good thing that she only says what is best for this school and for their students." Alexa goes on and on with her story and I only listen to her half-heartedly, my attention was caught by a girl who was silently walking to the counter to order some food when this guy stretched his legs causing the girl to stumble on it and tripped.

She got up immediately and glare at the guy who was responsible for tripping her and was now laughing with his friends, she walked closer and smack the guy at the back of his head. That stopped them from laughing. He stand up and glared back at the girl and was about to slap her but the girl was faster because she already raise her fist and punched him square on the face.

An all out fight was about to break and the guys is getting red in the face from embarrassment because he can't seem to land a single hit on the girl. Alexa quickly stood from her seat and was about to go near the fight zone but I stopped her.

"Hey, where are you going?" I ask her and she quickly explain that the girl on the fight is her best friend Louize and the guy was her asshole ex-boyfriend, Jasper.

I go with her and together we tried to stop the brawl but the surrounding students was making it hard and Jasper's friends are only encouraging them more. After a few struggles we finally get through the swarms of students and me and Alexa grabbed her best friend hands and another pair of hand grab Jasper's body, I look up and saw Dallas trying to stop Jasper from getting to Louize and we were trying to do the same with her.

And that's when one of the teachers came and sent the five of  us to...guess what? That's right, they sent us to detention.

What a great way to start the school year...
