hyungwon and wonho enters the living room and falls into a state of surprise when the room is illuminated with nothing more but candles that wonho knows changkyun loves.

"hyungwon?" wonho turns to his side. hyungwon carves a small smile at him and walks away from his side, standing beside kihyun. the two shares a fond look with each other before they entwine their fingers together, leaving wonho in a state of confusion.

kihyun smiles reassuringly at wonho and mouths, "go on."

wonho turns back to the path of candles. what is this, he wonders and follows the trail. he walks and walks and as he turns to a corner, he gasps in surprise when he finds changkyun standing at the end of the path with a bouquet of roses in his hand. the candles around him forms the shape of a heart, giving the atmosphere a romantic feeling.

slowly, he comes closer to changkyun with a smile.

"what is this?" he asks. changkyun says nothing but just smile as he pulls out a drawing block. he flips the first page and shows it to wonho.

"i know that i am a bad boyfriend for you,"

"no, you're not." wonho says. changkyun snorts as he replies back. "let me finish, okay?" wonho let out a small laugh and nods. changkyun flips open another page.

"i know i am full of flaws and imperfections,"

"that's what makes you beautiful though." changkyun just chuckles at wonho's reply as he flips open a page.

"you still love me dearly and i want you to know that i love you too."

a tear trails down wonho's cheek. but it is not a tear of sadness, but a tear of genuine and true happiness. he gazes at changkyun with a loving smile and let out a laugh when changkyun mouths, "wipe your tears, hyung," before he opens another page of the drawing block.

"everyday after work, you will always wait for me at the door with open arms. with only a hug, you cheer me up and makes me think that, 'ah...maybe this day might not be that bad.'"

changkyun takes a step forward and smiles as he wipes the tears that won't stop from rolling down on his boyfriend's cheek. changkyun flips open another page of the drawing block and places it on wonho's hands. frowning in confusion, he stares at the drawing block and reads out the words.

"that also gives me a thought that, i want to spend my whole life that way. i want to wake up to the smell of breakfast every morning, i want to come back home with you waiting for me by the door with open arms." wonho flips open a page and frowns when there's nothing more. just a blank page with absolute no words or any kind of drawing, leave alone a line! he purses his lips, confused and stares at changkyun.

the younger doesn't say anything and takes out a diamond ring from his pocket. he gazes deeply into wonho's eyes and smiles. wonho gasps. is changkyun...no way.

"i want to spend my whole life with no one but you. i maybe won't be the best boyfriend or husband in the world, but i hope you can accept me the way i am. so, shin hoseok, will you marry me?"

tears brim wonho's eyes and without any hesitation, he screams out a yes and hugs changkyun tightly. the lights are switched on and their friends are clapping their hands, grinning as each one of them are happy for the couple.

changkyun breaks the hug and takes his wonho's hand, putting the ring into his finger. it fits perfectly, as if it is meant to be there from the beginning. wonho feels the tears coming again and brings changkyun into a tight hug.

"i am sorry, kyunie." changkyun looks at wonho in confusion.

"huh, for what?" wonho breaks the hug and sends his boyfriend an apologetic look.

"i thought that you are cheating on me. i see you and kihyun at the jewellery shop and, and,"

"and you see i put on the necklace on his neck, don't you?" wonho slowly nods as he looks down. changkyun let out a small laugh and smiles at him.

"hyung, the necklace is for my brother. he's getting married in the next month and i want to buy something for him and his wife. plus, kihyun hyung is dating hyungwon hyung." he explains and wonho blushes in embarrassment.

"i'm really sorry, changkyun-ah. i am so stupid. what a bad boyfriend i am, aren't i?" wonho mutters and fiddles with the hem of his sweater, his cheeks are as red as a tomato. changkyun just chuckles and replies back, "no, you're not. you are the best boyfriend i can have and don't be sorry. at least, everything is okay now, right?" wonho carves a small smile and nods.

"okay, stop with the lovey dovey. you two need to tidy this whole thing up. do you think that i will let you use my new house as a proposal place that easy?" minhyuk chides playfully and changkyun groans in discontent.

"way to ruin the moment, minhyuk hyung. seriously, hyunwoo hyung, how can you marry him?" everyone laughs at changkyun's comment. minhyuk takes off one of his slippers and starts to chase him. hyunwoo sighs and shakes his head as he stares at his childish boyfriend.

wonho chuckles. he looks down to his hand and runs a finger over the ring. a soft smile makes its way to his lips. the proposal feels too good to be true.

wonho takes out a phone from the pocket of his jeans and waves it in front of his friends.

"guys! let's take a picture."

minhyuk stops chasing changkyun and grins excitedly as he makes his way to wonho's side. hyunwoo chuckles as stands beside his husband, slinging a hand around minhyuk's waist as he pulls him closer. jooheon places himself between the hyungki couple and smiles innocently, only to earn a slap on his head. wonho giggles at their interaction and shakes his head. now all that left is changkyun.

"im changkyun! what are you doing? come here!" wonho calls with a smile, waving his hand. changkyun chuckles and stands behind wonho, resting his head on the latter's shoulder. hyunwoo takes the phone from wonho's hand and position it until everyone fits into the picture. after finding a perfect angle, he starts counting.

"okay, guys. one,"

everyone smiles and time seems to stop by itself in wonho's mind. he turns his head around and looks at everyone. he stares at hyunwoo and minhyuk's linked hands, kihyun and hyungwon's entwined fingers behind jooheon and lastly, he stares at changkyun's hand around his waist.

he let out a blissful sigh. these are the small moments that he doesn't know he will cherish a lot until now. the christmas this year will be quite a memorable day not only for him, but for changkyun too and wonho knows that his husband knows about it too.

he places his hand on changkyun's hand and unknowingly, a smile reaches his lips and the time unfreeze itself.

"..two, three!"
