Chapter 2

(Shealyn's POV)

I sat in the waiting room of the hospital, grasping onto my mother's hand. I turned quickly around to see the nurse return from the testing room and give a small smile. 

"Shealyn."

(Lachlan's POV)

I just finished my homework as I recieved a text from Shealyn. It read:

S: Hey, can't make it to work tonight, something came up. Thanks for holding down the fort for me!

L: Oh, okay! No problem, see you tomorrow!

S: Bye.

Her response was fairly unusual. Everyone knows that when a girl texts and has a period at the end, something's up. I re-read the text over and over again, just wondering what it could have been that she got all caught up in. I finally shrugged, shoving my phone in my back pocket and grabbing my car keys.

"Bye Lach! Have fun at work!" my dad yelled form across the hall. I grinned, blowing a strand of blond hair out of my face and opening the door, shutting it quietly. I ran my fingers through my hair as I drove with one hand on the steering wheel, blasting Ghost Town, Shea and I's favorite band.

(Shealyn's POV)

I looked in the mirror, red streaks flowing down my face from my sobbing. My parents were crying too. I wish they wouldn't. I sat on the staircase as I heard them quietly talking together. I sighed, wiping my face with my sleeve. I grabbed my phone and scrolled through Instagram. Rylie posted a new picture that said: "College D: going to miss all my highschool friends!" I rolled my eyes. She was going to one of the best schools in the country and she was complaining about it. Typical. 

I groaned, stepping outside and sitting on the ground, staring up at the slowly forming stars. They were gorgeous. 

"Please stay stars." I whispered, resting my head on the ground and closing my eyes.

(Lachlan's POV)

I arrived at work 10 minutes early and sighed, sitting down on the grass infront of the shop. I looked up at the sky, watching the luminescent stars forming in the vibrant grey sky. 

"Why can't you stars just stay forever?" I whispered, laying my entire body on the ground and resting my eyes.

Okay, so there was Chapter 2! Very eventful, I know! WHAT IS IT THAT HAPPENED TO SHEALYN? WILL LACHLAN EVER BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND GIRLS? THE WORLD MAY NEVER KNOW!! TUNE IN NEXT TIME ON STAY! Hahahahhahahahah well anyways guys thanks for reading!
