The train pulled to a stop, and Tré and I had arrived at the station, about five blocks from Glendale University. We gathered our bags and pushed through the people to get off the train. As we walked, I quickly opened my suitcase a little, and saw that my journal was still there. Good. I didn't want to lose it again.

I followed Tré as we made our way out of the station, and into the big city of Los Angles. When we stepped out the doors, I saw dozens of shops, restaurants, and bars before me. Downtown LA looked beautiful with all the shining lights and art. Palm trees stood tall and decorative lights were strung everywhere from the front of shops, to the bushes near the road, filled with many cars and people passing by. Just imagining what it would look like at night...

"Beautiful, right?" Tré stood next to me, gazing at the glowing signs. "Not something you would see at home."

I laughed a little. "Well, I'm from New York City, but this is definitely amazing."

Tré nodded, still looking perplexed at the sight. "I'm from Illinois, I live in the countryside."

I was about to reply when Tré's phone started ringing. He reached in his pocket and pulled it out. Then, he tapped the screen to silence his phone, and slide it back in his pocket.

"That was my alarm. We need to be at the university soon." He said while looking around at the city.

I signaled for a taxi and seconds later it pulled up to the curb. Tré and I placed our bags in the trunk, and climbed in the back seat.

Tré told the driver where to go, and the car started to speed up, taking us to the University.

Once we arrived, I slipped the driver a twenty dollar bill to pay for the ride. Then, we climbed out of the taxi and grabbed our stuff from the trunk. The taxi cab zoomed away and we stood in front of our new college, Glendale University.

Tré spoke. "This is it! Aren't you excited, man?"

I nodded. "Yeah.. But I'm a bit nervous to be honest..."

He put his arm around me. Tré looked up at the huge building. "Don't worry, Billie. I'm sure you'll have a great roommate, wonderful teachers, and hey—" He smiled at me. "You might have some classes with me! We could hang out sometime too!"

I smiled, and noticed myself blushing. Why was I blushing? Tré didnt seem to notice though, he was too busy rambling on about the endless possibilities of college. He looked cute with his hair all spiked up and his bright blue eyes shining when he spoke.
And his smile. It was so adorable...

"So what'd you think? Does college sound at least a little better?" Tré said, breaking my thoughts.

"Uh... Y-Yeah, Tré! Thanks." I stuttered.
My cheeks grew slightly red. What was I just thinking?

He smiled brightly. "Well, see you sometime then?"

I nodded and smiled, still flustered. "Yep!"

A slight grin came on his face, and then he turned away and began walking to the entrance of Glendale. Before walking too far, he turned around and spoke.

"You're cute when you blush, by the way."

I felt my face grow redder. I covered my cheeks in embarrassment and I was unsure what to say back.

He giggled to himself and walked away, carrying his bags behind him.

I strolled down the wide halls of the college dormitories, trying to find my room. Several names passed my eyes as I scanned the walls, looking left and right for my name.

At last, I found the words: Billie Joe Armstrong engraved on the plate next to the white door.

I sighed in relief. Finally!

Not bothering to read the other name under mine, I opened the door.

I was greeted by a fresh smell of clean laundry, and a beautiful dorm. I stepped inside the entrance room, and on the right side was a large open doorway that led to a small room with white walls and a beautifully-patterned tile floor. It was the kitchen.

I stepped into the kitchen, stunned by its beauty.

The counter tops were black marble, and had expensive looking cabinets and necessities on top. I opened the cabinets and drawers, to discover glass dishes and metal silverware. There was a fridge and oven, too. I then observed a large opening to the living room over the counter, which served as a bar, with leather-seated stools on the other side.

I walked out the doorway from the kitchen, down the large entrance, and into the room to the right, near the end of the hall.

The living room was even nicer than the kitchen, if that was possible. The big room had a wooden floor, and light blue walls, decorated with paintings and a clock. Near the middle of the room stood a black coffee table. Under it was a patterned red carpet that almost covered all the floor, and a large black couch rested behind that, facing the same way I was, looking at the TV. Two nice bookshelves were resting on that wall, already decorated. They were surrounding the giant flatscreen TV with a entertainment center under it filled with video games and movies. On the right wall was a chair that had the same design as the couch, and next to it was a tall lamp. On the left wall from the TV was a long footstool with white pillows on each end.

I explored the dorm, and walked by the entrance again. I walked into what looked like a giant bedroom. I flicked on the lights and looked around. The walls were light grey, and the floor was made of blue carpet. On the wall I was facing, stood two beds, one against the right corner, and the other against the left. Each bed had a dresser next to it, with a giant window, complete with black curtains, in the middle of the wall. There was a huge desk in the left corner of the room closest to me, and on the right corner closest to the doorway, was large closet.

Once I exited the room, I looked at the rest of the dorm, including the bathroom, and the stairs to the left of the front door and kitchen, that led to the roof top, which had chairs, a table, a hot tub, and a couple of trees covered in rainbow lights. There was also black fence surrounding the roof. Another stairway led to the balcony on the other side. That meant the roof was shared with the people next door.

I looked around at the place I was going to spend a while in. My new home for now.

This was my dormitory. And it was freaking awesome.
