Maple is the leader of her team. She often comes off as very timid, and usually looks to Azura when it comes to adressing the team. Maple pretty much agrees to anything said and is more of a doormat than anything else. Despite her shy deminor, Maple is one of the most capable fighters on her team. Her speed and strategy are her two biggest strengths.
Maple is a Elk faunus, but was born with larger horns due to higher levels of testosterone in her body. Maple's hair has slight green in it since her father was born with green hair. She wears a brown dress like outfit with white spots and green trimming. She has a sheath for her weapon, but chooses not to wear it and carry it. Maple's weapon is a javelin laces with poison ivy on the blade. If she was to throw it, and it doesn't land I direct hit, her oppenent may still touch the ivy and suffer its effects. She calls it Poision Bullet, seeing as it also turns into a hunting rifle.
Maple's semblance is called "Stampede" She charges directly in one direction, usually using her horns to attack or throw her enemy. The problem with her semblance is that being the skittish creature she is, if Maple is badly startled, her semblance will trigger and she will charge into a wall. Usually she gets stuck and will start crying in embarrasment. Luckily Azura is usually around to help her out
Maple lived with her mom, who was a elk faunus and her father who was a human. Both were hunters. At first, to keep their daughter safe, they tried to teach her self defense. After a while, they began to loose hope, seeing the young girl couldn't hold a sword with our freezing in fear. They soon stopped trying. Maple felt disappointed she couldn't be like her parents, even though they told her that its alright. Maple grew older, still unable to fight. Eventually she decided to leave. She needed to learn. Upon leaving her village, she went deep into the forest until she got lost. There she met Azura after she had been attacked. Maple helped her with her arm and the two became very close. Azura helped get Maple back home. There she told her parents why she left and what she wanted to do. They agreed and after a heartfelt goodbye, Azura and Maple went off on their own.
