"This sandwhich is delicious." Becky spoke with her mouth full.
"I have to agree with you." Thea smiled after finishing her mouthful.
"So...what are you're next plans with Storm." Becky asked still chewing on her sandwhich.
"To walk him around in the riding ring, where is grass." After Thea told Becky this she took a sip of her sprite.
Then a loud bang came from the stables, both girls knew they had to react emedatly. Becky and Thea both jumped out of the chairs they were sitting on and raced out to the stables where a loud horse was in destress.
"Easy, Storm, the vet won't hurt you." Tom spoke to the horse in a panic tone.
"Storm! Stop jumping." Thea called out as she ran into the stables.
Storm tension seemed to fade slowly as Thea approached his stall.
"It's only the vet, he needs to make sure you're heathy." The teenager explained.
"Wow, Tom, you never told me that you had a horse whisper on you're hands." The vet smiled and looked at Storm's injured neck. "It's not that deep of a wound, I'm pretty confident it will heal by it's self. The vet told, Tom, Becky and Thea who were standing outside of Storm's stable.
Once Dr. Marten had finished looking over Storm's Heath, Tom asked Thea, "would you want to walk around with Storm in the riding arena?" The man smiled and picked up the leather halter beside him.
"Really?" Thea asked excited.
"Yes, really." He handed her the halter and lead rope which she slipped gently onto Storm's face.
"I think he's been sick of this stable." Thea laughed. " you can tell he's bored." Thea patted his neck and lead him out of the stables, the Sound of horse hooves filled the stables.
The sky was blue and not a cloud in the sky it was a perfect day to let Storm stretch his legs. Tom opened the round yard door and Thea lead Storm inside slowly as he was hesitant.
"It's okay...good,boy." Thea encouraged as Storm's whole body entered the round yard.
"You're so good with him, Thea." Max called out and sat on top of the metal fence.
"Thanks, Max." I saw Becky giving me that look. Which means oh my god it's Max.
"What's his name?" The boy asked, his horse Carrot grazing on the grass behind him.
"Storm." Thea replied to the question that had just come her way.
"Tom told me he was wild, he doesn't look very wild to me." The boy watched the horse's movements as he walked around the ring.
"That's because, Thea, is a horse whisper." Becky stated confidently, looking at her best friend Thea.
"Horse whisper?" Max asked.
"Yep." Becky nodded and watched Thea take Storm off his lead and climbed out of the riding ring under the metal fence.
"Storm looks so relaxed while he's running." Thea noticed and told her fellow riding buddies who were also watching the black horse run laps around the ring.
"Have you tried putting a bridal on him ?" Max asked curiously.
"No, the men who brought him here said they tired and he wouldn't budge." Thea explained.
"Well those men weren't horse whispers." Becky replied with a cheerful tone.
"Becky has a point, Thea." Max nodded, handing her the bridal that was hanging from a hook near by.
"What if something goes wrong?" Thea sounded nervous.
"If there is any emergencies, please exit on you're left or on you're right." Becky sounded like a flight attendant who was giving the safety demonstration.
"Thanks, Becky, I'll note that when there is an emergency close by." Thea replied sarcastically.
Thea with the bridal in her hand first let Storm sniff the object that he had seen once before. Storm's hooves started to stomp on the hard summer ground, making cracks in the dry, dusty ground.
"Easy, it's just a bridal, Storm." Thea stood back as Storm reared up into the air making distressed sounds which could be heard from a distance. "Calm down." Thea told Storm who came closer to Thea and reared up again, making her fall down.
"Thea, get out of there!" Max and Becky called as Storm reared up again, Thea threw the bridal out of the ring.
"It's gone, Storm, calm down...that's it." Thea brushed herself off as she had fallen.
"Thea! I saw from the office, are you okay, sweetie?" Tom helped Thea to her feet.
"I'm fine, he got spooked by the bridal." Thea said sheepishly.
"Bridal?" Tom sounded angry.
"Yes, I'm sorry, Tom." Thea apoligized
"It's my fault,Tom. I told her she should try the bridal." Max rubbed his forearm.
"Next time, I want you all wearing riding helmets next time you go near him." Tom told the three of the riders.
"Yes, Tom." The three agreed.
"Thea, get Storm back in his stall, please, I don't want any more accidents." Tom said as he walked off back to his office.
Thea walked Storm back to his stall tying the lead rope to the sliver ring attached to his door. Noticing that Storm's black coat was covered in dirt, she grabbed a brush and started grooming his soft fur.
"That's a good, boy." Thea brushed his coat in the direction the hair grew. Once Storm was clean Thea got a old blanket that happened to be Kermit's.
"This blanket used to be, Kermit's but he won't mind you borrowing it." Thea smiled and placed the red blanket over the stallion , doing up the front buckles first. Then the middle buckles and lastly the back buckles under his tail.
"Goodnight, Storm, I'll see you in the morning." Thea closed his stable door and walked away to say goodbye to her own pony.
"Night, Kermy." Thea kissed his forehead, ruffling his white forelock and walked out of the stables, ready to see her Mum who would ask questions about her day.
