The alarm's shrill sound left a slight ringing in my ear as I roll over and whack the reset button with a little extra force, that probably wasn't necessary. I sit up and rub the sleep out of my eyes as I internally groan.
Even though the sound of the alarm was a dull beep it still wasn't the best sound to wake up to at five in the morning. Why five in the morning you ask? Well, I have to get ready of course! When I say get ready I don't mean makeup and all that prissy stuff, I mean getting a wig on and contacts so that I'm not recognized by paparazzi and fans. Don't get me wrong, I love my fans, but I want a normal-ish high school experience.
High school. Hell for some, heaven for others. The whole experience depends on who you hangout with, what you look like, your interests, who you like, who you do, etc.. Never who you are as person. They don't look passed that veil society has placed on you, unless you find that bottom feeder who looks at the world with a keen eye. They were marked a nobody. What I would give to be nobody again. I wasn't known enough to be bullied, or known enough to pretend to be something I'm not. Neither was me, until my group debuted, and then everyone saw me. They brought unrealistic expectations of me, and praised me when I was literally a nobody to them before we debuted. That's why I changed schools for my last year, so I can finish my education quietly.
My producers wanted to keep it quiet as well. The other members of Moonlight Angels also agreed on keeping all of our real names a secret, unless they used their real names instead of a stage name, until I graduated this year. Yes, sadly people at my old school knew it was me, but who would listen to some crazy teenage fans?
It's my second to last year of highschool, and I just want to get it over with. I'm probably going to end up doing my last year of school online if we go on tour in America, which I'm excited for, but I'm lazy and traveling to a place in where I can't speak the language is just too much work.
I shift over to the edge of my bed and flop out of it, it's too early for this. I reach for the doorknob groggily failing to grab it, but my fingers finally wrapped around the cool metal surface of the knob. The door burst open and in ran my fashion angel, Lee Ri Rin. I love her to death, but not this early in the morning when she hits me in the nose with my bedroom door.
I stumble backwards. "Ow!"
"Good morning, beloved Younyi! I have your hair-what happened?" She runs to me in concern.
"Your annoying door-swinging habit happened." I grumble, rubbing my nose.
"I'm sorry, but it's your first do of school, I can't help be excited for you!" Ri Rin smiles widely at me.
I let out a small laugh. "Be my emotions all you want, but let's get this wig thing over with, please."
"It's just a wig Younyi, you'll survive."
"Yeah, but wigs are ridiculous! This feels like Hanna Montana, but the roles are switched." I grumble going to get dressed in the school uniform.
"It's not as bad as you think it's going to be." She straightens my tie when I'm done changing. "Now, let's get a little makeup on, and then the wig and glasses."
I wrinkle my nose at the sound of makeup, but I don't complain as she drags me from my room into the brightly lit bathroom. The process of putting on a wig cap took awhile, considering all of my long hair. Ri Rin then does some simple makeup that doesn't take long, simple eyeliner, eyeshadow and a little foundation. And last but not least, the wig.
It was long, about boob length, and had a weird set of bangs that looked pretty itchy. When I used to have bangs, I hated them with burning passion. She fitted it over my head with a little effort, but it seemed to grip my head just right.
"Aww. You look so cute!" She smiles at me in the mirror as she brushes the wig, so it can look natural.
"Are you kidding? These bangs are going to make me look like a complete nerd when I where the glasses." I grumble.
"Relax, you look great. And if people give you crap, do what you do best and give them attitude back." Ri Rin hands me the glasses.
"I told Manager Kim this is a bad idea." I put on the glasses. "Somethings bound to go wrong sooner or later..."
I quickly look over my new profile, iffy about what was looking back at me in the mirror. I looked innocent in a way, like one of those cliche school girls from the K-dramas I've watched.
I smile at Ri Rin, finally breaking my gaze from the mirror. "Thank you for your help."
"Anytime, Younyi." She smiles back. "You should get going so you have time for breakfast."
"You're right. See you later!" I wave as I run downstairs, grab a muffin and my bag as I head out my door.
Welp. I think to myself. Time for my first day of school. Let's make it a good one.
